Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Program Analyst Jobs at AbbVie Jobs
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Program Analyst roles at AbbVie typically require a degree in a field directly tied to the function, such as business analytics, public health, or life sciences. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation status for analyst titles, so make sure your degree field maps clearly to the role description before you apply.
Target AbbVie's commercial and medical affairs divisions
Program Analyst openings at AbbVie concentrate heavily in commercial operations, market access, and medical affairs. Searching within these business units surfaces roles more likely to involve structured sponsorship workflows rather than ad hoc hiring decisions.
Confirm E-3 or TN eligibility before the offer stage
AbbVie sponsors E-3 and TN visas in addition to H-1B, and both can be processed faster with less employer overhead. If you're Australian or Canadian or Mexican, raise your visa category early, since it changes the timeline and filing process your recruiter will plan around.
Understand the PERM timeline for permanent residency
AbbVie sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Program Analysts, but PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes a year or more before an I-140 can be filed. Factor this into your long-term planning when evaluating an offer, especially if you're already on OPT and counting cap years.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Program Analyst roles at AbbVie
Sponsorship-confirmed openings at large pharmaceutical employers can be hard to filter through general job boards. Migrate Mate surfaces AbbVie's Program Analyst postings alongside verified sponsorship history, so you're applying to roles where international hiring is already part of the process.
Time your OPT application around AbbVie's hiring cycles
AbbVie runs structured campus recruiting for Program Analyst roles with concentrated hiring in the fall and late winter. If you're completing a graduate program and relying on F-1 OPT, apply to USCIS for your EAD at least 90 days before your program end date so authorization aligns with an offer timeline.

Find Program Analyst at AbbVie JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AbbVie sponsor H-1B visas for Program Analysts?
Yes, AbbVie sponsors H-1B visas for Program Analyst roles. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery for new applicants and also hires candidates already in valid H-1B status through transfers, which bypass the lottery entirely. Program Analyst positions at AbbVie generally satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements when the role demands a degree in a specific analytical or scientific field.
Which visa types does AbbVie commonly sponsor for Program Analysts?
AbbVie sponsors a broad range of visa categories for Program Analysts, including H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 for temporary work authorization. For permanent residency, AbbVie supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship. Australian, Canadian, and Mexican nationals should flag their nationality early, since E-3 and TN processing is typically faster and involves less employer overhead than H-1B.
What qualifications does AbbVie expect for Program Analyst roles?
AbbVie's Program Analyst roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, public health, life sciences, or information systems, with some senior roles expecting a master's degree or equivalent experience. Strong analytical skills, familiarity with data tools, and an understanding of pharmaceutical or healthcare operations are common requirements. Roles in commercial operations or medical affairs may also expect experience with CRM systems or market access data.
How do I apply for Program Analyst jobs at AbbVie?
You can browse and apply for Program Analyst openings at AbbVie through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where international sponsorship is part of the hiring process. AbbVie also posts directly on its careers site. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific business unit, whether commercial, clinical, or medical affairs, since requirements vary and generic applications are less competitive in a structured recruiting environment like AbbVie's.
How do I plan my visa timeline when pursuing a Program Analyst role at AbbVie?
Timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT candidates should file their EAD application with USCIS at least 90 days before their program end date to avoid a work authorization gap. If you need H-1B sponsorship, AbbVie must file during the April registration window, with employment typically starting October 1. E-3 and TN applicants can move faster, often completing the process within weeks of receiving a signed offer letter.
