Job Responsibilities
Program Management:
- Own program P&L with explicit margin accountability — accountable for financial outcomes across assigned programs, not oversight only.
- Design, build, and restructure the program team as needed to meet operational demands; evaluate team structure, right-sizing, and capability gaps.
- Develop and maintain C-suite-level client relationships, representing us at the highest levels of client organizations.
- Contribute to our strategic pipeline decisions — provide input on which programs and clients we pursue, based on operational capacity, margin potential, and strategic fit.
- Take direct control of programs in serious jeopardy — financial, schedule, or client-relationship crises — and drive them back to stable operation.
- Refine and improve operational procedures across programs; establish program-wide standards for schedule, financial reporting, procurement, and stakeholder communication.
- Present and defend Business Case Reviews to Executive Leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of program Managers; accountable for their performance, retention, and professional development.
- Champion leadership development within the program; support the progression of Managers, Senior PMs, and high-potential PMs.
- Champion safety and quality culture across the program.
- Ensure consistent execution of our standards and best practices across all assigned programs.
- Represent assigned programs in senior enterprise forums; translate cross-program lessons learned into organizational practices and continuous improvement of our program management systems.
Field Management:
- Represent us at senior client-facing milestones and executive-level client events.

- Proven ability to build, restructure, and right-size a program team.
- Demonstrated ability to take direct control of a program in serious jeopardy (financial, schedule, or client-relationship crisis) and return it to stable operation.
- Proven track record of presenting and defending Business Case Reviews with Executive Leadership.

- Working understanding of Python, SQL, and data modeling tools sufficient to evaluate and sponsor their application within program workflows.

Tailor your resume to government contracting frameworks
Jobot fills many Program Analyst roles tied to federal or defense clients. Highlighting experience with contract vehicles, task order management, or program lifecycle documentation signals immediate fit to the hiring managers Jobot recruits for.
Clarify the end client's sponsorship stance early
Jobot is a staffing intermediary, so the end client often controls whether sponsorship proceeds. Ask your recruiter directly whether the client has authorized H-1B or OPT transfers before investing time in interviews or technical assessments.
Confirm your OPT STEM extension eligibility before applying
Program Analyst roles frequently fall under CIP codes tied to information systems or business analysis, which can qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension. Verify your degree field maps to an eligible CIP code with your DSO before your standard OPT expires.
Request LCA details before signing any offer
For H-1B placements, Jobot must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying the prevailing wage for your work location. Ask for the wage level and work site listed on the LCA so you can cross-check them against the DOL wage library before you accept.
Search Jobot Program Analyst openings through Migrate Mate
Jobot posts Program Analyst roles across multiple boards, but filtering for visa-sponsoring positions takes time. Use Migrate Mate to surface Jobot listings already screened for H-1B, OPT, and TN sponsorship in one place.
Prepare a portable skills profile for TN eligibility
Canadian and Mexican nationals can qualify for TN status in Program Analyst roles if the position maps to an eligible USMCA category such as computer systems analyst. Document your bachelor's degree field and relevant systems analysis work before your recruiter initiates any TN letter.

How do I manage timing if my OPT is expiring while Jobot processes an H-1B?
If your OPT expiration falls before October 1 and USCIS receives your H-1B petition before your OPT end date, you can maintain work authorization under a cap-gap extension through September 30. You and your Jobot recruiter need to align on the H-1B filing window, which opens April 1 each year, so the petition is submitted while your OPT is still valid.
