Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Product Engineer Jobs at Jobot
Tailor your resume to product engineering depth
Jobot recruiters screen for candidates who can demonstrate ownership across the full product lifecycle. Highlight specific features shipped, cross-functional collaboration, and measurable outcomes, not just technologies used. Vague project descriptions get filtered before they reach a hiring manager.
Understand how staffing firms handle LCA filings
When a staffing agency like Jobot sponsors your H-1B, the Labor Condition Application is filed under Jobot's name, not the end client's. Confirm early that the LCA will reflect the actual worksite location, since mismatches can cause issues during USCIS adjudication.
Clarify the end client placement timeline upfront
Jobot places Product Engineers with client companies, which means your start date depends on both Jobot's filing timeline and the client's readiness. Ask your recruiter how far into the placement process a client is before petitioning USCIS, so you're not waiting on a stalled engagement.
Verify your OPT end date before accepting an offer
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm exactly how many months remain before your EAD expires. Jobot needs enough runway to file an H-1B cap-subject petition during the April filing window. Starting a placement with under six months of OPT remaining significantly tightens that window.
Search Jobot's open Product Engineer roles on Migrate Mate
Jobot posts Product Engineer positions across multiple client verticals. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Jobot roles that have confirmed sponsorship, so you're applying to openings where your visa status is already accounted for in the recruitment process.
Ask about H-1B transfer eligibility on active petitions
If you're already on an approved H-1B with another employer, you can start working at Jobot as soon as a transfer petition is filed, without waiting for USCIS approval. Confirm with Jobot's HR team that they process H-1B portability transfers, since not all staffing firms do.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers?
Yes, Jobot does sponsor H-1B visas for Product Engineers, though sponsorship is evaluated on a role-by-role and candidate-by-candidate basis. Because Jobot operates as a staffing firm, the H-1B petition is filed under Jobot as the employer of record. It's worth confirming sponsorship availability directly with your recruiter before progressing through multiple interview rounds.
Which visa types are commonly used for Product Engineer roles at Jobot?
Jobot has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visas for Product Engineer roles. H-1B is the most common path for longer-term placement, while F-1 OPT allows you to start quickly if your EAD is valid. TN status applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering categories, and Jobot's staffing model can accommodate that classification.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Product Engineer roles at Jobot?
Jobot places Product Engineers across a range of client environments, so requirements vary by engagement. Most roles expect a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated experience owning product features end-to-end. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and familiarity with agile development processes are commonly cited across Jobot's active Product Engineer postings.
How do I apply for Product Engineer jobs at Jobot?
You can browse and apply for Product Engineer positions at Jobot through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Jobot roles that include visa sponsorship. When you apply, be upfront about your visa status in your initial outreach, since Jobot's recruiters need to confirm sponsorship availability before moving you forward. Tailoring your application to the specific client vertical listed in the job posting improves your chances of getting a callback.
How do I time my H-1B filing when working with a staffing firm like Jobot?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so your job offer and placement with Jobot need to be confirmed before the USCIS registration window opens in March. If you're placed with a client after the cap window closes, Jobot may need to explore cap-exempt routes or bridge your status through OPT extension if you're eligible.
