We’re hiring a hands-on Engineering Leader to own and scale a critical cloud-based healthcare product, leading a team of 10–15 engineers while driving both technical direction and delivery. This is not a “people manager only” role. We’re looking for someone who still operates as a technical authority—leading architecture, guiding code quality, and setting engineering standards—while also owning team performance, hiring, and execution.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of 10–15 engineers (full-stack, backend, DevOps)
- Own technical direction, architecture, and delivery for a modern SaaS platform
- Drive code quality, design reviews, and engineering standards
- Partner closely with Product, Design, and Customer teams
- Manage full team lifecycle: hiring, performance, growth, and retention
- Balance feature delivery, scalability, and technical debt
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.)
- Implement AI across: Code generation, Testing, Documentation
- Define best practices for secure and responsible AI usage
- Measure impact on velocity, quality, and developer experience
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years in software engineering
- 5+ years managing teams of 8+ engineers
- Proven experience as a hands-on technical leader (not just a facilitator)
- Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Background in SaaS / distributed systems / APIs / microservices
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC2, etc.)
- Ability to own a product end-to-end, not just contribute
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building cloud-native healthcare platforms
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
Tech Stack:
- Backend: .NET, Java, Node.js, Python
- Frontend: React (or similar)
- Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP
