Align Your Degree to Banking Operations
Program Analyst roles at City National Bank typically require a degree in finance, business, economics, or a related quantitative field. Document how your coursework connects directly to banking workflows like risk modeling, compliance reporting, or financial analysis before you apply.
Search for LCA Filings Before Applying
The DOL's OFLC disclosure database shows every Labor Condition Application a bank has filed by job title. Searching for Program Analyst filings at City National Bank confirms the specific positions they've sponsored and the wage levels offered, giving you a realistic picture before outreach.
Target City National Bank's Rotational and Analyst Programs
City National Bank's Program Analyst openings often feed from structured rotational programs across business units. Applying directly to those pathways rather than one-off postings improves your chances of landing a role that already has a sponsorship workflow built in.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsoring Roles
Not every Program Analyst posting at City National Bank will explicitly mention sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter for positions where the bank has an active sponsorship history, so you're targeting openings most likely to move forward for visa-dependent candidates.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
City National Bank sponsors multiple visa types, but not every hiring manager knows which apply to Program Analyst roles. Before accepting an offer, confirm with HR whether they'll support H-1B, TN, or Green Card sponsorship, and ask which internal team manages the USCIS petition process.

Does City National Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Program Analysts?
Yes, City National Bank sponsors H-1B visas for Program Analyst roles. The bank operates as a qualifying employer under USCIS regulations, and Program Analyst positions in banking typically meet the specialty occupation standard given their degree requirements in finance, business, or a related field. Confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter during early conversations, as it can vary by business unit.
Which visa types does City National Bank commonly sponsor for Program Analysts?
City National Bank sponsors a range of visa categories for Program Analyst roles, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and immigrant visa pathways like EB-2 and EB-3. F-1 OPT is often the entry point for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship following. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles and credentials align with USMCA qualifying categories.
What qualifications are expected for Program Analyst roles at City National Bank?
City National Bank's Program Analyst roles generally require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a quantitative discipline. Familiarity with financial modeling, data analysis tools, and banking compliance frameworks strengthens your candidacy. Some positions emphasize risk management or regulatory reporting experience. A degree field that directly maps to the job function is especially important if you need H-1B sponsorship, since USCIS will scrutinize the degree-to-role alignment.
How do I apply for Program Analyst jobs at City National Bank?
Applications go through City National Bank's careers portal, where Program Analyst openings are listed by department and location. To find roles that actively support visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate to browse verified openings at City National Bank filtered by sponsorship track record. Tailor your resume to banking-specific language around financial analysis, operational improvement, or compliance, and note your visa status clearly in the application where prompted.
How do I manage the timeline between OPT and H-1B sponsorship at City National Bank?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have a defined window before your work authorization expires. USCIS requires H-1B petitions to be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start, meaning you need an offer finalized and HR engaged by January or February at the latest. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you have a STEM extension, the cap-gap provision covers the gap. Raise the timeline explicitly with City National Bank's HR team at the offer stage, not after signing.
