Frame your experience around regulated industries
City National Bank hires Partnerships Managers to grow relationships within banking and financial services. Tailor your resume to highlight experience with institutional clients, financial products, or regulated partner ecosystems, since generalist business development backgrounds get screened out early.
Confirm the role qualifies as specialty occupation
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Finance, business, or economics degrees tied directly to partnership strategy in banking are the most defensible framing when the employer prepares your petition.
Target open roles with leadership reporting lines
City National Bank's Partnerships Manager openings often sit within specific business lines like private banking or commercial services. Roles reporting to senior leadership or with cross-functional scope tend to move faster through internal sponsorship approval than more operational-level positions.
Use Migrate Mate to filter confirmed sponsoring roles
Not every Partnerships Manager listing at City National Bank signals active sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles where the bank has a verified track record of filing for this function, so you're not guessing based on job description language alone.
Negotiate offer timing around your visa status window
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have a finite employment authorization window. Once City National Bank extends an offer, confirm whether they'll initiate H-1B sponsorship before your OPT expires, and factor in USCIS premium processing if your timeline is tight.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
The bank's legal team will file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Having your educational credentials evaluated and employment history documented in advance prevents delays once City National Bank initiates the sponsorship process.

Does City National Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Managers?
Yes, City National Bank sponsors H-1B visas for Partnerships Manager roles. The bank operates in a sector where specialized financial knowledge and client relationship experience are core to the position, which supports the specialty occupation classification USCIS requires. Your specific role's scope and degree requirement will shape how the petition is structured.
Which visa types are commonly used for Partnerships Manager roles at City National Bank?
H-1B is the most common path for Partnerships Managers at City National Bank, but the bank also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories for longer-term talent. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for candidates earlier in their career, and TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA.
What qualifications does City National Bank expect for a Partnerships Manager role?
City National Bank typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, combined with direct experience managing institutional or commercial relationships. Background in banking products, financial services partnerships, or regulated industry client management strengthens your candidacy. An MBA or equivalent is common among competitive applicants.
How do I apply for Partnerships Manager jobs at City National Bank?
You can find and apply for Partnerships Manager openings at City National Bank directly through their careers portal, or browse visa-sponsoring roles specifically through Migrate Mate. Before applying, align your resume to the specific business line the role sits in, since City National Bank's Partnerships Manager positions span private banking, commercial, and wealth management divisions.
How do I manage the timeline from offer to visa sponsorship at City National Bank?
Once you have an offer, City National Bank's HR and legal teams initiate the Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which typically takes one to two weeks. The H-1B petition follows. If you're transitioning from OPT or another status, confirm whether premium processing is available for your petition type to avoid a gap in work authorization.
