Frame your credentials around strategic impact
Google's Partnerships Manager interviews assess cross-functional influence and commercial outcomes. Quantify how your deals or relationships drove measurable business results, and connect your background directly to the product area or vertical you're targeting within Google.
Target Google's industry-specific partnership teams
Google hires Partnerships Managers across distinct verticals, including cloud, ads, platforms, and hardware. Applying to teams aligned with your domain expertise increases your chances of passing initial screening and signals you understand the partner ecosystem that team actually manages.
Align your offer acceptance timing to H-1B cap windows
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start. Accepting an offer in late spring or summer means waiting up to 18 months to begin work, so negotiate your start date and any bridge status early in the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Partnerships Manager roles at Google
Google posts Partnerships Manager openings across multiple internal portals and career pages. Migrate Mate filters verified sponsorship roles by employer and function, so you can surface active Google openings that explicitly include visa sponsorship without manually checking each listing.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation before the offer stage
Google's legal team files the I-129 petition with USCIS, but your role still needs to satisfy specialty occupation requirements. Gather transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations if your qualification is from outside the U.S., and any professional certifications that tie your academic background to partnership management.

Find Partnerships Manager at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Managers?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Partnerships Manager roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Google handles the petition filing through its internal immigration team, though you'll need to clear the H-1B lottery if you require a cap-subject visa.
Which visa types does Google commonly use for Partnerships Manager roles?
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Partnerships Manager positions. H-1B is the most common path for candidates from most countries. Australian citizens can use the E-3 visa, which has a dedicated annual allocation and no lottery. Singaporean nationals may qualify for the H-1B1, which also bypasses the H-1B lottery and has its own separate cap.
How do I apply for Partnerships Manager jobs at Google?
Applications go through Google's careers portal at careers.google.com. Search by role title and filter by location. Partnerships Manager roles at Google often require a screening call with a recruiter, followed by a structured interview loop covering business acumen, relationship management, and cross-functional scenarios. You can also find active sponsored openings through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles where Google has a confirmed sponsorship track record.
What qualifications does Google expect for a Partnerships Manager role?
Google generally looks for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field, along with several years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, typically within the technology sector. Familiarity with Google's product ecosystem, whether ads, cloud, or platforms, is a practical differentiator. Experience negotiating and managing complex, multi-stakeholder agreements is weighted heavily at the senior level.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline if I receive an offer from Google?
The timeline depends on which visa applies to you. E-3 and H-1B1 holders can often start within weeks of receiving a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL and completing consular processing. H-1B candidates without existing status face an October 1 start date tied to the USCIS cap calendar. Premium processing is available for H-1B petitions, which reduces USCIS adjudication time to around 15 business days, though DOL LCA certification runs separately and cannot be expedited.
