About The Role
The Retail Partnerships Manager will lead DoorDash's effort to grow and deepen strategic partnerships across a handful of our largest categories. - Own meaningful outcomes — your deals and your team's wins will directly move DoorDash's New Verticals P&L
- Work with partners across DoorDash to align companywide resources and help build out our partners' digital businesses
We're Excited About You Because…
- You're a People Leader — You've managed direct reports and have a track record of developing junior talent into top performers
- You're a Dealmaker — You've led complex, multi-variable renegotiations with large enterprise partners and are comfortable operating at the VP/GM level
- You're Analytical — You structure problems with data, build models, and drive decisions with quantitative rigor

- You're Influential — You align and influence S&O, Finance, Product, and Marketing partners without direct authority
- You're Strategic — You find the win-win and develop novel agreement structures to grow business with partners
- You're an Owner — You step up to drive projects forward with minimal supervision and own outcomes end-to-end
Qualifications
- 6+ years of account management, business development, strategic partnerships, consulting, or banking experience in technology or high-growth environments
- 2+ years of people management experience with direct reports
- Bachelor's degree required

Tailor your resume for DoorDash's partnership model
DoorDash partnerships roles emphasize merchant acquisition, restaurant chain negotiations, and platform integrations. Frame your experience around revenue impact, partner retention metrics, and cross-functional deal execution rather than generic relationship management language.
Verify your visa type before applying
DoorDash sponsors multiple visa categories including H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT. Confirm which status you hold and its expiration date so you can tell recruiters exactly where you are in your sponsorship timeline during initial screening calls.
Target roles in DoorDash's merchant or platform teams
Partnerships Manager openings at DoorDash cluster around merchant growth, strategic accounts, and third-party integrations. Filtering your search to these sub-teams surfaces roles where sponsorship for this title has historically been supported by the company.
Use Migrate Mate to filter DoorDash openings by visa type
Searching broadly across job boards won't tell you which postings align with your specific visa category. Migrate Mate lets you filter Partnerships Manager roles at DoorDash by the visa types they sponsor, saving time and reducing guesswork in your search.
Understand how DoorDash's LCA process affects your start date
Before DoorDash can file your H-1B or E-3 petition, the Department of Labor must certify a Labor Condition Application. This step typically takes seven business days but can affect your negotiated start date, so flag it early when discussing offer timing with the recruiter.
Prepare for a longer offer-to-start timeline on F-1 OPT
If you're on F-1 OPT, USCIS recommends filing an H-1B cap-subject petition well before your OPT expires. Align your DoorDash offer timeline with the April 1 filing window so your authorization remains continuous through the October 1 H-1B start date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Partnerships Manager roles. The company has an active track record of filing H-1B petitions for business and commercial functions, which includes partnership and merchant-facing roles. If you receive an offer, DoorDash's immigration team typically coordinates with outside counsel to begin the Labor Condition Application and I-129 petition process.
How do I apply for Partnerships Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Applications go through DoorDash's careers portal at careers.doordash.com. You can also browse and filter open Partnerships Manager roles by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions where DoorDash has a sponsorship history. Tailor your application to highlight merchant acquisition, commercial negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration experience, which align with how DoorDash structures this function.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Partnerships Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for Partnerships Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa (for Chilean and Singaporean nationals), E-3 visa (for Australian nationals), TN visa (for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA), F-1 OPT and CPT, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, current status, and career stage.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for a Partnerships Manager?
DoorDash typically looks for candidates with experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or merchant sales, often within technology, marketplace, or platform companies. Strong analytical skills, a track record of managing complex deal cycles, and the ability to work cross-functionally with product and operations teams are consistently emphasized in job descriptions for this title.
How do I plan my timeline if DoorDash extends a Partnerships Manager offer with visa sponsorship?
Once you have a signed offer, DoorDash's immigration team initiates the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before filing with USCIS. For H-1B cap-subject cases, the October 1 start date is fixed, so timing your job search to align with the April registration window matters. For E-3 and TN, processing is faster and not lottery-dependent, often completing within a few weeks of the interview.
