Tailor your portfolio to DoorDash's brand voice
DoorDash's social presence centers on local commerce, merchant stories, and delivery culture. Curate work samples that show community-driven campaigns or consumer brand content before you apply, not after you get the interview.
Confirm your visa category matches the role level
DoorDash sponsors several visa types, but eligibility depends on your nationality and degree field. An E-3 works only for Australian citizens, while an H-1B1 is limited to Singaporean and Chilean nationals. Verify your category before targeting specific postings.
Use Migrate Mate to filter DoorDash Social Media openings
Not every DoorDash Social Media posting is easy to find across general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse visa-sponsoring roles at DoorDash filtered by function, so you're only applying where sponsorship is a real option.
Understand how DoorDash handles H-1B lottery dependency
If your offer is contingent on winning the H-1B lottery, get clarity on whether DoorDash will defer your start date or hold the offer through an unsuccessful lottery year. Ask this before signing anything, not after results are announced in March.
Get your LCA-related documents ready before an offer closes
Once DoorDash extends an offer requiring H-1B or E-3 sponsorship, the employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS sees anything. Having your degree transcripts and credential evaluations ready speeds up that internal process significantly.

Find Social Media at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Social Medias?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Social Media roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Social Media roles tied to marketing strategy, content analytics, or brand management typically meet this threshold when a relevant bachelor's degree is required. Confirm the specific role's requirements during the recruiter screening stage.
How do I apply for Social Media jobs at DoorDash?
Apply directly through DoorDash's careers page or use Migrate Mate to browse their open Social Media roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailor your application to highlight platform-specific experience, campaign results, and any consumer or local commerce brand work. DoorDash's recruiting process typically includes a portfolio review and multiple rounds of interviews.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly use for Social Media roles?
DoorDash sponsors a range of visa categories for Social Media positions, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT for recent graduates. For permanent residency, EB-2 and EB-3 pathways are available for longer-tenured employees. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and career stage.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Social Media roles?
Most Social Media roles at DoorDash require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, which also supports specialty occupation status for visa purposes. Beyond credentials, DoorDash looks for demonstrated experience managing social channels for consumer brands, strong writing ability, and familiarity with performance analytics tools like Sprinklr or Brandwatch.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a DoorDash Social Media role?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS accepts cap-subject petitions in April for an October 1 start date. Align your DoorDash job search to secure an offer by late February or early March so the employer has time to file. For E-3 or TN visas, timelines are shorter and not tied to an annual lottery, which makes those pathways more flexible for mid-year hiring.
