About the Team
We're looking for someone to help scale DoorDash's next billion dollar business, DashMart. The DashMart team is focused on building a new type of convenience store, offering household essentials, groceries and local restaurant favorites to our customers' doorsteps.
About the Role
As a Manager on our DashMart Growth Strategy & Operations team, you will lead a team of 2 associates and own high-impact initiatives from end to end—including developing the initial strategy, executing with precision, and analyzing results to inform future decisions. You will own annual volume planning and forecasting processes, and deliver weekly performance reporting with clear insights and actionable recommendations. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in product, category management, and finance to identify and scale growth levers. You will work on initiatives that drive customer conversion through personalized shopper experiences, in-app merchandising, and occasions strategies. You will report into the Director of DashMart Growth Strategy & Operations within our New Verticals organization. This is a hybrid role, with a blend of in-office and remote work.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build. You'll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash's next big business. You'll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.
- Strategize. From first principles, you'll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
- Experiment. You'll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes, informing your larger initiative implementation plans.
- Analyze. You'll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data.
- Lead and collaborate. You'll work with a cross-functional team, including marketing, design, product, and operations, and lead your own pod to build this new line of business for DoorDash.
We're excited about you because…
- You solve problems from first principles. You're excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and you resist "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
- You're equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team. No job is beneath you.
- You're unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments.
- You're analytical. You let data win arguments, and you're comfortable pulling your own data in SQL or modeling in Excel.
- You are a leader. You have 1+ years of experience managing high-performing teams.
- You have 6-8+ years of experience. You've succeeded in high-performance cultures (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
- You have completed your BS/BA Degree.

We are a technology and logistics company that started by enabling door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known as the place you order food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.

Statement of Non-Discrimination: In keeping with our beliefs and goals, no employee or applicant will face discrimination or harassment based on: race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, age, gender, marital/domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability status, or veteran status. Above and beyond discrimination and harassment based on "protected categories," we also strive to prevent other subtler forms of inappropriate behavior (i.e., stereotyping) from ever gaining a foothold in our office. Whether blatant or hidden, barriers to success have no place at DoorDash. We value a diverse workforce – people who identify as women, non-binary or gender non-conforming, LGBTQIA+, American Indian or Native Alaskan, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, differently-abled, caretakers and parents, and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Thank you to the Level Playing Field Institute for this statement of non-discrimination.
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.

Frame your growth metrics in marketplace terms
DoorDash evaluates Growth Managers on merchant and consumer funnel ownership. Quantify your experience with cohort retention, activation rates, or A/B test outcomes in marketplace or platform contexts so your resume maps directly to their growth motion.
Identify which DoorDash verticals are actively hiring
DoorDash's Growth Manager roles span merchant partnerships, international expansion, and new verticals like grocery and alcohol. Targeting the right vertical signals genuine alignment and gives you sharper talking points during the interview loop.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
DoorDash sponsors several nonimmigrant categories for this role. Know which category fits your situation before you receive an offer. Disclosing early avoids delays when their legal team initiates USCIS filings and confirms petition timelines align with your start date.
Time H-1B applications around DoorDash's interview cycles
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the annual cap registration opens in March with an October 1 start date. Aligning your DoorDash interview process to land an offer before the March window closes maximizes your options for that fiscal year.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Growth Manager openings by visa type
DoorDash posts Growth Manager roles across multiple teams at different times. Search Migrate Mate to filter active openings by the visa categories DoorDash sponsors, so you're applying to positions where your work authorization is already a known fit.
Confirm DOL Labor Condition Application scope with your recruiter
Your LCA specifies the worksite location and prevailing wage tier. If your Growth Manager role involves frequent travel to other DoorDash offices or hybrid arrangements across states, confirm with the recruiter how the LCA covers those worksite conditions before signing.

Find Growth Manager at DoorDash JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does DoorDash sponsor H-1B visas for Growth Managers?
Yes, DoorDash sponsors H-1B visas for Growth Manager roles. The H-1B is the most common path for candidates who need employer-sponsored work authorization in a specialty occupation, and Growth Manager positions at a technology company like DoorDash typically qualify. Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL and then the H-1B petition with USCIS on your behalf.
Which visa types does DoorDash commonly sponsor for Growth Manager roles?
DoorDash sponsors multiple visa categories for this function, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing U.S. degrees. Candidates already in a Green Card process may also find DoorDash willing to support EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa petitions depending on the role and tenure.
How do I apply for Growth Manager jobs at DoorDash?
Browse current Growth Manager openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces DoorDash roles filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can target positions that fit your work authorization. DoorDash's hiring process for Growth Manager roles generally involves a recruiter screen, a case-style analytical interview, and a final loop with cross-functional stakeholders. Prepare to discuss specific growth experiments you have run and measurable marketplace or platform outcomes.
What qualifications does DoorDash expect for Growth Manager roles?
DoorDash typically looks for candidates with experience owning a growth or acquisition funnel end to end, ideally within a two-sided marketplace, platform, or consumer technology company. Strong SQL skills, comfort with experimentation frameworks, and the ability to translate data into go-to-market decisions are consistently emphasized. Prior experience in merchant partnerships, lifecycle marketing, or international expansion is a differentiator for senior-level openings.
How do I think about timing when targeting a Growth Manager role at DoorDash with visa sponsorship?
If you are on F-1 OPT, your 60-day grace period begins the moment your employment ends, so you need an offer and a USCIS receipt notice before that window closes. For H-1B cap-subject candidates, DoorDash would need to register you in March for an October 1 start. E-3 and TN holders have more flexibility because those categories are not subject to an annual lottery and can be processed at a U.S. consulate relatively quickly.
