Frame your CRM experience around revenue outcomes
City National Bank's CRM roles are evaluated on portfolio growth and client retention metrics. Before applying, quantify your relationship management wins: assets under management, revenue generated, or client book expansion. Hiring managers in commercial banking respond to numbers, not responsibilities.
Target roles aligned with your visa classification
H-1B and TN candidates should focus on CRM positions that specify a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field as a hard requirement. Roles listed as 'preferred' rather than 'required' can create specialty occupation problems during USCIS adjudication.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open CRM roles by sponsorship history
Not every open position at a large bank leads to a sponsored offer. Search Migrate Mate to identify Customer Relationship Management openings at City National Bank that align with your visa type, so you apply where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Engage the recruiter on sponsorship before the final interview round
City National Bank routes sponsorship approvals through its legal and HR teams. Raising your visa status with the recruiter by the second interview gives the bank time to align internally and avoids late-stage complications that derail offers.
Understand PERM timing if you're targeting permanent residency
EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings for CRM roles require DOL-approved recruitment steps before the petition can be filed. Large banks typically start this process only after you've been in role for several months, so factor a 12 to 18 month minimum PERM timeline into your planning.
Prepare a credentials package tailored to banking relationship roles
City National Bank's CRM hires often support high-net-worth or commercial clients. Assemble transcripts, professional certifications such as Series 7 or CFP if applicable, and reference letters that speak directly to client-facing financial work before you start applying.

Find Customer Relationship Management at City National Bank JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does City National Bank sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Relationship Managements?
Yes, City National Bank sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Relationship Management roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a specific bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Your offer letter will need to reflect that degree requirement clearly, and the bank's legal team files the H-1B petition through USCIS on your behalf.
How do I apply for Customer Relationship Management jobs at City National Bank?
Applications go through City National Bank's careers portal, but you can also browse open Customer Relationship Management positions filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight client portfolio management, revenue contribution, and any financial services credentials. Mention your visa status early in the screening process so the recruiter can route your application correctly.
Which visa types does City National Bank commonly use for Customer Relationship Management roles?
City National Bank sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for CRM roles. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates can work in these positions during their authorized period, and the bank has sponsored TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in business-classified roles. For permanent residency, the bank supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, typically initiated after a candidate is established in the role.
What qualifications does City National Bank expect for Customer Relationship Management positions?
City National Bank's CRM roles in commercial and private banking typically require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics, along with direct experience managing client relationships in a financial services environment. Candidates with Series 7, Series 63, or CFP credentials are competitive. For H-1B purposes, the degree field must align closely with the specific job duties described in the posting.
How do I time my application if my OPT or visa status is expiring soon?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply early enough to allow time for interviews, an offer, and H-1B filing before your OPT expires. USCIS standard processing takes three to five months, though premium processing can shorten that to a few weeks. If your OPT includes a STEM extension, you have additional runway. Communicate your status expiration date to the recruiter at the offer stage so the bank's legal team can plan the filing timeline accordingly.
