Align your credentials with U.S. payroll standards
Deloitte's Payroll Manager roles often require familiarity with U.S.-specific systems like Workday or ADP and compliance with FLSA regulations. Earning a Certified Payroll Professional designation signals readiness for the U.S. market before you interview.
Target Deloitte's enterprise client service teams
Payroll Manager openings at Deloitte frequently sit within its Human Capital and Workforce Transformation practices, supporting large enterprise clients. Filter your search by practice area, not just job title, to find roles where sponsorship is a standard expectation.
Clarify your visa category early in conversations
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, E-3, and H-1B1 visas depending on your citizenship. If you're Australian, the E-3 is faster and avoids the H-1B lottery. Raising your visa type during the recruiter screen prevents late-stage surprises and helps Deloitte's immigration team prepare the right petition.
Understand how Deloitte structures LCA filings
For H-1B and E-3 petitions, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your worksite location. At a firm like Deloitte, your actual office or client site determines which prevailing wage applies, not the firm's headquarters.
Use Migrate Mate to find Payroll Manager openings at Deloitte
Migrate Mate's job board filters specifically for roles at visa-sponsoring employers. Search for Payroll Manager positions at Deloitte to surface active openings where sponsorship is already confirmed, saving you time vetting employers who won't file.
Plan your timeline around H-1B cap deadlines
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS only accepts cap-subject petitions once per year, with the registration window opening in March. Accept your Deloitte offer with enough lead time for your employer to register, then file before the October 1 start date.

Find Payroll Manager at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Payroll Managers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Payroll Manager roles. As one of the largest professional services firms in the U.S., Deloitte has an established immigration program that regularly supports H-1B petitions for qualified candidates in this function. You'll work through Deloitte's internal immigration team, which coordinates directly with outside counsel to manage filings.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Payroll Manager roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for Payroll Manager positions, as well as employment-based Green Cards through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications for longer-term permanent residence. Australian citizens are often best positioned for the E-3, which has no lottery and can be processed faster than the H-1B cap-subject route.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for a Payroll Manager role?
Deloitte typically looks for a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field, along with several years of payroll management experience in a large, complex organization. Familiarity with enterprise payroll platforms such as Workday, SAP, or ADP is common in job postings. A Certified Payroll Professional designation strengthens your application, particularly when employer immigration teams need to document specialty occupation requirements for a visa petition.
How do I apply for Payroll Manager jobs at Deloitte?
You can browse and apply for Payroll Manager openings at Deloitte through Migrate Mate, which surfaces active roles at confirmed visa-sponsoring employers. When you apply, flag your visa sponsorship needs early in the recruiter conversation. Deloitte's recruiting process for this role typically includes a phone screen, competency-based interviews, and a final round assessing systems knowledge and client-facing experience.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Deloitte as a Payroll Manager?
Timeline depends on your visa type. E-3 petitions for Australian citizens can be processed at a U.S. consulate in as little as a few weeks. H-1B petitions follow the USCIS cap cycle with an October 1 start date, so you'll need to plan at least six months ahead. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically takes one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date availability.
