Align Your Credentials to Deloitte's Security Frameworks
Deloitte's cybersecurity practice emphasizes certifications like CISSP, CISM, and cloud security credentials alongside degree qualifications. Having these on your resume signals you meet the specialty occupation threshold USCIS uses to evaluate H-1B petitions for engineering roles.
Target Deloitte's Government and Federal Practice Units
Deloitte's federal consulting arm sponsors security clearance-eligible roles that non-citizen candidates can realistically pursue before obtaining clearance. Focus your applications on commercial and advisory cybersecurity teams, where sponsorship decisions move faster than cleared federal positions.
Search Open Roles Using Migrate Mate
Filter Deloitte's active Cybersecurity Engineer openings by visa type on Migrate Mate so you only apply to positions where sponsorship is explicitly on the table, avoiding wasted effort on roles that restrict candidates to existing authorization.
Understand How Deloitte Structures the LCA Process
Deloitte files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Prevailing wage level matters here: roles titled Senior Consultant or Manager often land at Level III or IV, which affects how quickly your LCA certifies and what your offer letter must reflect.
Address Nonimmigrant Intent Early in E-3 or H-1B1 Discussions
If you're Australian or Singaporean, Deloitte can sponsor E-3 or H-1B1 visas outside the annual H-1B cap. Raise your visa category with the recruiter before the offer stage so their immigration team files the correct petition from the start rather than defaulting to H-1B.
Request Premium Processing Before Your Start Date
USCIS premium processing shortens adjudication to 15 business days. For Cybersecurity Engineer roles where Deloitte needs you onboarded to a client engagement quickly, ask your hiring contact whether the firm will elect premium processing on your I-129 petition.

Find Cybersecurity Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Cybersecurity Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Cybersecurity Engineers across its advisory, risk, and technology practices. The firm files petitions annually through the H-1B cap lottery and also uses cap-exempt filings for roles based at qualifying nonprofit or government research entities. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Deloitte can also file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
How do I apply for Cybersecurity Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Apply directly through Deloitte's careers portal and filter by the Cyber practice area. Because many postings don't prominently advertise sponsorship availability, use Migrate Mate to browse Deloitte's Cybersecurity Engineer openings filtered by visa type before applying. Tailor your resume to highlight relevant certifications, security domain expertise, and any client-facing consulting experience, since Deloitte evaluates both technical depth and the ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly use for Cybersecurity Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Cybersecurity Engineers, but also uses the E-3 for Australian citizens, the H-1B1 for Singaporean and Chilean nationals, and the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican professionals whose role qualifies under USMCA. For longer-term pathways, Deloitte supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM-based petitions, typically initiated after you've been with the firm for a period of time.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Cybersecurity Engineer positions?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience in areas like penetration testing, SIEM platforms, cloud security, or incident response. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ strengthen your profile significantly. For USCIS H-1B purposes, the degree and job duties must align closely, so roles requiring generalist IT skills without a specific degree requirement may face additional scrutiny during petition review.
How do I handle the H-1B lottery timeline when targeting Deloitte?
The H-1B cap lottery opens for registration in early March each year, with USCIS announcing selections by late March. If selected, Deloitte's immigration team files your full petition by June 30 for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on OPT or STEM OPT, plan your job search so that an offer and lottery registration can happen before the March window. Missing the registration window means waiting a full year for the next cycle.
