Align your degree to specialty occupation standards
CohnReznick Consultant roles typically require accounting, finance, or a related field. Before applying, confirm your degree maps directly to the job description, USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims for accounting roles where degree requirements can appear flexible.
Target CohnReznick's industry-aligned consulting practices
CohnReznick organizes consultants by industry vertical, including real estate, government contracting, and nonprofit. Applying to a practice area where your background is concentrated gives hiring managers a clearer sponsorship rationale and strengthens the Labor Condition Application justification for the DOL.
Use F-1 OPT to build your candidacy before H-1B
If you're on STEM OPT, you have up to three years to work at CohnReznick before H-1B becomes necessary. Use that window to demonstrate performance in a consulting role, which puts you in a stronger position when the firm evaluates H-1B sponsorship decisions.
Ask about E-3 eligibility if you hold Australian citizenship
Australian nationals can pursue E-3 sponsorship for Consultant roles, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. The E-3 has an annual cap of 10,500 visas and has never been exhausted, so approval timelines are generally more predictable for qualified applicants.
Browse open Consultant roles at CohnReznick on Migrate Mate
Filtering by visa type helps you see which CohnReznick Consultant openings are actively accessible to international candidates. Migrate Mate surfaces roles by sponsorship history, so you can prioritize applications where the firm has a demonstrated pattern of supporting your specific visa category.
Confirm the H-1B timeline before accepting an offer
H-1B cap-subject petitions have an April 1 filing window with an October 1 start date. If CohnReznick extends an offer outside that cycle, clarify whether cap-exempt status, a transfer, or OPT bridging applies so your work authorization has no gaps before the petition is approved.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CohnReznick sponsor H-1B visas for Consultants?
Yes, CohnReznick sponsors H-1B visas for Consultant roles. The firm operates across accounting, advisory, and tax functions where specialty occupation requirements are well established, which supports H-1B eligibility. If you're subject to the H-1B lottery, confirm your start date timeline with the recruiting team early in the offer process to avoid gaps in work authorization.
How do I apply for Consultant jobs at CohnReznick?
Applications go through CohnReznick's careers portal, where roles are listed by service line and location. To find Consultant openings that are accessible to international candidates, Migrate Mate filters active CohnReznick listings by visa sponsorship type, so you can prioritize roles where the firm has a track record of supporting your specific visa category before you apply.
Which visa types does CohnReznick commonly sponsor for Consultant roles?
CohnReznick sponsors several visa types for Consultant positions, including H-1B, E-3 visa for Australian citizens, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in eligible programs. J-1 visa sponsorship is also available in some contexts. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree field, and where you are in your academic or work authorization timeline.
What qualifications does CohnReznick expect for a sponsored Consultant role?
CohnReznick Consultant roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, or a closely related field. CPA eligibility or progress toward licensure is a common expectation for audit and tax tracks. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must correspond to the specific specialty the role requires, which USCIS evaluates when reviewing the H-1B or E-3 petition.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a CohnReznick Consultant offer?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap-subject cases must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start, so an offer received in fall or winter will involve a waiting period. E-3 and TN cases process faster, often within a few weeks of filing. USCIS premium processing, available for H-1B petitions for an additional fee, reduces the adjudication window to 15 business days.
