Align Your Credentials With CPA Requirements
CohnReznick expects Accounting Associates to be on a CPA track. Before applying, confirm your foreign accounting degree meets state board 150-credit-hour requirements or identify bridging coursework, since credential gaps surface during the offer stage.
Target Campus Recruiting Cycles Early
CohnReznick fills most Accounting Associate roles through fall and spring campus recruiting, not year-round postings. Connecting with their campus team before interview season starts gives you lead time to surface sponsorship conversations before offer letters are drafted.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Accounting Associate Roles
CohnReznick posts Accounting Associate openings across multiple offices and service lines. Use Migrate Mate to filter for visa-sponsoring roles at the firm so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already confirmed, not guessing from the job description.
Confirm Office Location Before the LCA Is Filed
The Labor Condition Application filed with DOL is tied to a specific worksite. CohnReznick operates across many offices, and if your placement changes after the LCA is certified, an amended filing may be required. Lock down your office assignment before the process starts.

Does CohnReznick sponsor H-1B visas for Accounting Associates?
Yes, CohnReznick sponsors H-1B visas for Accounting Associates. The firm has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for this role and works with international candidates through the full process. Sponsorship is more commonly offered at the associate level when the candidate is already in the U.S. on OPT or another nonimmigrant status.
Which visa types are commonly used for Accounting Associate roles at CohnReznick?
F-1 OPT and CPT are the most common starting points for Accounting Associates at CohnReznick, particularly for recent graduates. From there, H-1B is the standard long-term path. The firm also sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and J-1 visas in some cases, making it a strong option across multiple nationalities.
What qualifications are expected for Accounting Associate roles at CohnReznick?
CohnReznick typically expects a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related field, along with progress toward the CPA designation. Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, audit methodology, or tax fundamentals is expected depending on the service line. Candidates who can demonstrate academic performance and internship experience in public accounting are most competitive.
How do I apply for Accounting Associate jobs at CohnReznick?
You can find and apply for Accounting Associate openings at CohnReznick through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa sponsorship is confirmed. CohnReznick also recruits heavily through campus programs, so if you're still in school, connecting with their campus recruiting team at career fairs is often the fastest path to an interview and early sponsorship conversations.
How do I time my application to account for H-1B filing deadlines?
H-1B cap petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so you need an offer in hand well before then. If your OPT expires before October 1, you can apply for a cap-gap extension that lets you keep working while USCIS processes your petition. Start the conversation with CohnReznick's HR team at least two to three months before the April filing window opens.
