Align your credentials with U.S. CPA pathways
CohnReznick expects Project Accountants to be on track for CPA licensure. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation through NASBA or a state board before applying so your qualifications read clearly to their recruiting team.
Target offices with active advisory pipelines
CohnReznick's Project Accountant openings are concentrated in offices serving real estate, government contracting, and private equity clients. Applying to locations where those practice areas are strongest gives you a better chance of landing in a team that sponsors regularly.
Understand how H-1B cap timing affects your offer
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, your start date is locked to October 1. USCIS registration opens in March, so an offer before that window means your employer files in the lottery before you start. Factor that gap into your negotiations.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Project Accountant roles
Search and filter CohnReznick's current Project Accountant openings by visa type on Migrate Mate so you only spend time on positions where sponsorship aligns with your specific immigration status.

Find Project Accountant at CohnReznick JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CohnReznick sponsor H-1B visas for Project Accountants?
Yes, CohnReznick sponsors H-1B visas for Project Accountant roles. The firm has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for accounting and advisory positions. If you're currently on F-1 OPT or another status that bridges to H-1B, you'll want to raise sponsorship early in the process so HR can plan around the USCIS cap registration window in March.
How do I apply for Project Accountant jobs at CohnReznick?
You can browse and apply for Project Accountant openings at CohnReznick through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your status is supported before applying. CohnReznick's recruiting process typically includes a phone screen, technical interview covering accounting fundamentals, and a final round with the practice team. Having your credential evaluation and employment authorization documents ready speeds up the process.
Which visa types does CohnReznick sponsor for Project Accountant roles?
CohnReznick sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas for Project Accountant positions. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 route, which has no lottery and faster processing than H-1B. Canadian and Mexican nationals in accounting may qualify under TN status, which is processed at the border without a petition filing wait.
What qualifications does CohnReznick expect for Project Accountant roles?
CohnReznick typically looks for a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, progress toward CPA licensure, and familiarity with U.S. GAAP. For international candidates, a credential evaluation confirming your degree is equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor's is expected before an offer is finalized. Experience in real estate accounting, government contracting, or fund administration is a meaningful differentiator given the firm's core practice areas.
How do I handle timing if my OPT expires before CohnReznick can file my H-1B?
If your OPT end date falls before October 1 and you're not eligible for a STEM extension, you'd face a gap in work authorization. STEM OPT extends your F-1 status by 24 months if your degree qualifies, giving you a bridge to the next H-1B cycle. Confirm your STEM eligibility with your Designated School Official early and notify CohnReznick's HR so they can time the H-1B registration accordingly.
