Align your credentials to CPA requirements
CohnReznick's Tax Senior Manager roles almost universally require CPA licensure. If your credentials are foreign-issued, get a NASBA evaluation completed before applying so your application isn't filtered at the screening stage.
Target CohnReznick's industry-aligned tax practices
CohnReznick organizes its tax practice by industry verticals like real estate, government contracting, and technology. Applications that align your specialization with a specific vertical move faster than generalist submissions in their hiring pipeline.
Distinguish E-3 from H-1B if you're Australian
If you hold Australian citizenship, the E-3 visa sidesteps the H-1B lottery entirely. CohnReznick sponsors E-3s for this role, so flag your citizenship early in the process to ensure the right petition type gets filed.
Confirm LCA filing before your start date
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your H-1B petition. At Senior Manager level, the prevailing wage tier matters, so verify the LCA reflects your actual role and location.
Search CohnReznick openings through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Tax Senior Manager openings at CohnReznick by visa type so you're only targeting roles where sponsorship is actively offered, rather than applying speculatively and asking about sponsorship after the fact.
Time your application around busy-season hiring cycles
Accounting firms including CohnReznick typically backfill Senior Manager roles after Q1 busy season ends in April and again in September. Applications submitted in these windows encounter less internal competition and move through approval faster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CohnReznick sponsor H-1B visas for Tax Senior Managers?
Yes, CohnReznick sponsors H-1B visas for Tax Senior Manager roles. Because H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing matters. CohnReznick typically initiates the H-1B process in early Q1 to meet the April USCIS filing window. If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, a transfer petition avoids the lottery entirely.
How do I apply for Tax Senior Manager jobs at CohnReznick?
Applications go through CohnReznick's careers portal, but roles fill quickly during post-busy-season hiring windows in spring and fall. You can also find and filter open Tax Senior Manager positions at CohnReznick by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which makes it easier to confirm sponsorship eligibility before you invest time in the application process.
Which visa types does CohnReznick sponsor for Tax Senior Manager roles?
CohnReznick sponsors multiple visa categories for this role, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and supports candidates on F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visa status. The right visa depends on your citizenship and current immigration status. Flagging your situation early in conversations with their recruiting team ensures the correct petition type is prepared.
What qualifications does CohnReznick expect for a Tax Senior Manager?
CohnReznick's Tax Senior Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, active CPA licensure, and substantial experience in public accounting tax work. Industry specialization in areas like real estate, private equity, or financial services is a strong differentiator. Foreign-credential holders should obtain a NASBA equivalency evaluation to confirm their degree meets U.S. educational standards before applying.
How do I understand the sponsorship timeline for a Tax Senior Manager offer at CohnReznick?
For H-1B petitions, CohnReznick must file with USCIS between April 1 and April 30 for an October 1 start date, so offers extended after April require a one-year wait unless you qualify for a cap-exempt transfer. E-3 and TN petitions move faster with no lottery. USCIS premium processing, currently available for H-1B petitions, can reduce adjudication to 15 business days if timing is critical.
