Frame Your HR Credentials Around Labor Compliance
GDI Services operates under government and commercial facilities contracts that require strict labor compliance. Certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP, paired with experience in wage and hour law or I-9 auditing, directly match what their HR teams handle day-to-day.
Target Roles in Multi-Site HR Operations
Facilities services companies like GDI manage HR across dozens of contract sites simultaneously. Position yourself for regional HR coordinator or business partner roles, where experience supporting distributed hourly workforces signals an immediate operational fit.
Search GDI Services Openings Through Migrate Mate
HR roles at facilities employers fill quickly and aren't always listed on major job boards for long. Use Migrate Mate to filter GDI Services' open Human Resources positions by visa type so you only spend time on roles that match your sponsorship situation.
Clarify Visa Type Fit Before the Offer Stage
GDI sponsors both immigrant and nonimmigrant pathways, including TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals. Before your final interview round, confirm with the recruiter which visa category aligns with the specific role so the offer letter reflects the correct sponsorship structure from the start.
Prepare Your I-9 and E-Verify Onboarding Documents Early
As an HR hire, you'll likely administer GDI's E-Verify process for other employees while simultaneously going through it yourself. Have your List A or List B and C documents ready before your start date to avoid any delay in your own work authorization confirmation.
Understand PERM Timing if Targeting Immigrant Sponsorship
If you're pursuing an EB-2 or EB-3 path through GDI, the DOL PERM labor certification process typically takes six months to over a year before USCIS can adjudicate the petition. Factor that into your timeline if you're transitioning off F-1 OPT or a TN status.

Does GDI Services sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources roles?
GDI Services' primary sponsorship pathways for Human Resources positions are EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. H-1B sponsorship is not prominently featured in their known HR hiring patterns. If you're currently on H-1B status and seeking a transfer, confirm directly with GDI's recruiting team whether a specific HR role qualifies before proceeding.
How do I apply for Human Resources jobs at GDI Services?
Browse current GDI Services Human Resources openings through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles that match your status. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect experience with multi-site workforce management, labor compliance, or facilities-sector HR operations, as GDI prioritizes candidates who can support distributed hourly workforces across contract sites.
Which visa types are commonly used for Human Resources roles at GDI Services?
GDI Services sponsors F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for recent graduates entering HR roles, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying HR professional classifications, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for longer-term sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and whether the specific role qualifies under each visa's occupational requirements.
What qualifications and experience does GDI Services expect for Human Resources positions?
GDI Services typically looks for HR professionals with experience supporting large hourly workforces, particularly in industries like facilities management, janitorial services, or property operations. Familiarity with I-9 compliance, E-Verify administration, and multi-state employment law is valued. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is generally expected, with HR certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP strengthening your candidacy.
How do I think about timeline if GDI Services offers me immigrant visa sponsorship for an HR role?
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, GDI's HR team or their counsel typically begins with a DOL PERM labor certification filing, which takes roughly six months to over a year to complete before USCIS can review the immigrant petition. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and whether a STEM extension or cap-gap protection applies so there's no gap in your work authorization during the process.
