How to Get Visa Sponsorship in GS1 Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles aligned with GS1's core mission
GS1 operates at the intersection of supply chain, data standards, and industry consulting. Roles in standards development, technical consulting, and global trade alignment are most likely to attract sponsorship consideration for international candidates.
Understand GS1's Green Card focus
GS1 has sponsored Green Card pathways rather than temporary work visas. If you're seeking long-term U.S. employment rather than a short-term nonimmigrant status, GS1's sponsorship model may align better with your immigration goals.
Position yourself as a specialist, not a generalist
Consulting and professional services firms sponsor visa holders when the candidate brings a skill set that's difficult to source domestically. Expertise in global data standards, supply chain interoperability, or GS1 system implementations strengthens your case significantly.
Engage with GS1 through industry channels
GS1 is deeply embedded in standards bodies and industry consortiums. Engaging at supply chain conferences, GS1 U.S. events, or through sector-specific associations can get your name in front of hiring managers before a role is formally posted.
Be transparent about your visa situation early
GS1 is a smaller organization in terms of sponsorship volume. Being upfront about your visa needs and timeline in early conversations helps hiring managers assess feasibility before investing heavily in the process on both sides.
Use a platform that surfaces verified sponsorship history
Not every job board tells you whether an employer actually sponsors visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your search on companies like GS1 that have a documented track record.

Does GS1 sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, GS1's visa sponsorship activity has focused on Green Card pathways rather than H-1B petitions. If you're currently on a nonimmigrant status such as OPT or H-1B and looking to transfer, it's worth discussing your specific situation directly with GS1's HR team during the interview process, as sponsorship decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
What visa types does GS1 sponsor?
GS1's documented sponsorship activity covers employment-based Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3. These pathways are typically used for professional and skilled worker roles. If permanent residency sponsorship is your goal, GS1 has demonstrated willingness to support that process for qualifying positions within the organization.
Which departments or roles at GS1 are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
GS1's work centers on global supply chain standards, industry consulting, and data interoperability. Roles in technical standards development, solutions consulting, partner engagement, and global operations tend to require specialized expertise that aligns with sponsorship decisions. Candidates with deep knowledge of GS1 standards, RFID, or supply chain data systems are well-positioned.
What does the sponsorship and application timeline look like at GS1?
For Green Card sponsorship, the process typically begins after a permanent job offer and involves PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor before an immigrant petition is filed. This process can take one to several years depending on your priority date and country of birth. Starting conversations about sponsorship intent early in the hiring process helps set realistic expectations on both sides.
How do I find open roles at GS1 that may offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you filter and browse jobs specifically at companies with verified visa sponsorship histories, including GS1. Rather than scanning general job boards with no visibility into sponsorship track records, you can use Migrate Mate to focus your search on employers who have actually filed for Green Cards or work visas, saving significant time and uncertainty.
