Highlight Guest Education Over Sales Experience
lululemon's Customer Specialist interviews prioritize product knowledge and community engagement, not sales quotas. Frame your retail experience around educating customers and building relationships, which aligns directly with how lululemon describes the role internally.
Target Stores in High-Volume Hiring Markets
lululemon concentrates Customer Specialist openings in urban flagship markets and major mall corridors. Applying to locations in cities with large store footprints increases your odds of reaching a hiring manager familiar with sponsorship processes rather than a first-time situation.
Ask About PERM Labor Certification Early
If you're pursuing a longer-term path through EB-2 or EB-3, ask during the offer stage whether lululemon's immigration counsel handles PERM filings. Retail employers who sponsor Green Cards require DOL-certified prevailing wage documentation, and timelines can stretch beyond a year.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open Roles by Sponsorship History
Not every Customer Specialist posting leads to a sponsorship conversation. Use Migrate Mate to identify lululemon openings verified against actual sponsorship activity, so you apply to positions where the pathway is already established rather than hoping a recruiter figures it out.
Prepare Your Specialty Occupation Documentation in Advance
H-1B petitions for retail roles face heightened USCIS scrutiny around specialty occupation requirements. Gather your degree transcripts, any coursework in retail management, merchandising, or business, and be ready to articulate how your credentials directly connect to the Customer Specialist job duties.

Find Customer Specialist at lululemon JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does lululemon sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Specialists?
Yes, lululemon has sponsored H-1B visas for Customer Specialist roles. Because this is a consumer-facing retail position, the sponsorship process typically involves demonstrating specialty occupation status to USCIS, which requires a clear connection between the role's responsibilities and the applicant's relevant degree. Applicants with backgrounds in business, retail management, or a related field are better positioned to meet that standard.
How do I apply for Customer Specialist jobs at lululemon?
Applications go through lululemon's careers site, where you can filter by location and role type. For international candidates, Migrate Mate surfaces lululemon's Customer Specialist openings alongside sponsorship context, so you can prioritize applications where the hiring pathway is already established. During the process, be upfront about your visa status early so recruiting can loop in immigration counsel before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does lululemon use for Customer Specialist sponsorship?
lululemon's sponsorship activity for this role primarily involves the H-1B visa, which covers specialty occupation positions and requires employer petitioning through USCIS. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, lululemon has also engaged in EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which require a PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition.
What qualifications does lululemon expect for Customer Specialist roles?
lululemon looks for candidates with strong interpersonal skills, genuine product enthusiasm, and some retail or customer-facing experience. For visa sponsorship purposes, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, retail management, or communications strengthens your case considerably, since USCIS requires a direct connection between educational background and the specific duties of the sponsored role.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at lululemon?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date, so your offer would need to be in place well before registration closes. If you're on OPT, cap-gap protections can cover you through the summer if your OPT expires before October 1. Start conversations with lululemon recruiters about sponsorship no later than January to leave time for petition preparation and USCIS premium processing if needed.
