Tailor your resume to surgical support experience
Customer Specialist roles at Globus Medical require hands-on familiarity with sterile environments and surgical workflows. Highlight any operating room experience, medical device handling, or clinical coordination on your resume before you apply.
Target territories with active surgical device demand
Globus Medical hires Customer Specialists regionally to support specific hospital accounts. Applying to roles in high-volume spine and orthopedic surgery markets improves your chances of landing a position where headcount and sponsorship needs are active.
Ask recruiters about PERM eligibility during initial screening
Customer Specialist positions can support EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification filed with DOL. Raising this in the recruiter stage, not after the offer, signals long-term commitment and helps you assess whether the role can support permanent residence.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Customer Specialist openings by visa type
Filtering by sponsorship history before applying saves significant time. Migrate Mate lets you surface Globus Medical Customer Specialist roles verified for H-1B and other visa types, so you focus applications where sponsorship is already established.
Prepare your credential documents before offer negotiations
Globus Medical will need your degree transcripts, prior visa approvals, and any clinical certifications before USCIS filing begins. Having these organized and ready shortens the gap between offer acceptance and petition submission.

Find Customer Specialist at Globus Medical JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Specialists?
Yes, Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Specialist roles. This function involves specialized knowledge of surgical products and clinical environments, which supports the specialty occupation designation required for H-1B eligibility. If you're currently on F-1 OPT or another nonimmigrant status, confirming sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process is the right move.
How do I apply for Customer Specialist jobs at Globus Medical?
Applications go through Globus Medical's careers portal, where Customer Specialist openings are listed by region. You can also browse and filter Globus Medical's Customer Specialist roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions verified for visa sponsorship. Either way, tailoring your application to demonstrate surgical or clinical device experience will strengthen your candidacy significantly.
Which visa types does Globus Medical commonly use for Customer Specialist roles?
Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Customer Specialists. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for recent graduates entering the role, and TN visas are available for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. For longer-term employment, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM is also part of the company's immigration support structure.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect for Customer Specialist candidates?
Globus Medical typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a life sciences, kinesiology, or related field, combined with comfort in clinical or surgical settings. Prior operating room experience, familiarity with orthopedic or spine surgery workflows, and strong communication skills with surgical staff are practical differentiators. Candidates without direct OR experience but with medical device or healthcare coordination backgrounds are also competitive.
How do I handle the timing between my current visa status and an H-1B filing at Globus Medical?
If you're on F-1 OPT, Globus Medical can file an H-1B cap-subject petition in April for an October 1 start date. USCIS requires the petition to be filed during the annual cap registration window in March. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you have a STEM extension, you may be able to bridge the gap. Confirm the exact timeline with Globus Medical's HR team as early as possible.
