Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B approval for Operations roles at a medical device company requires your degree field to directly match the position. A degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or operations management is far stronger than a general business degree when USCIS reviews the specialty occupation requirement.
Target Globus roles that reference regulatory compliance
Operations positions tied to FDA-regulated manufacturing, ISO quality systems, or medical device production controls are more defensible as specialty occupations. When applying, prioritize job postings that mention GMP, CAPA, or regulatory affairs responsibilities over purely logistical or administrative operations titles.
Ask recruiters about their LCA filing timeline upfront
Before accepting an offer, confirm whether your start date allows enough lead time for the Labor Condition Application with DOL and the subsequent I-129 petition with USCIS. Operations roles with urgent start dates can create filing pressure that affects your status continuity.
Use OPT strategically before the H-1B lottery
If you are on F-1 OPT, Globus Medical can employ you in an Operations role while your H-1B petition enters the lottery. Cap-gap protection extends your work authorization if your OPT expires between April and October, so time your job search to secure an offer before your OPT end date.
Search for sponsored Operations openings on Migrate Mate
Filtering by employer sponsorship history before applying saves significant time. Use Migrate Mate to identify current Globus Medical Operations roles where the company has an active sponsorship track record, so you are applying to positions where international candidates are genuinely considered.
Prepare documentation showing hands-on industry experience
Globus Medical's Operations hiring frequently emphasizes practical manufacturing or supply chain experience in regulated industries. Gather performance reviews, project documentation, or employer letters that demonstrate your direct involvement in medical device or life sciences production environments before your visa petition is assembled.

Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions. The sponsorship is most common for roles that qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, meaning the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a related discipline. Positions tied to FDA-regulated manufacturing or quality systems tend to have the strongest case for approval.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Globus Medical?
You can find current Operations openings through Globus Medical's careers page or by browsing Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles at companies with a sponsorship track record. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight experience in medical device manufacturing, regulated production environments, or supply chain functions. Be direct with recruiters early about your visa status so sponsorship eligibility can be confirmed before interviews progress.
Which visa types does Globus Medical commonly use for Operations hires?
Globus Medical sponsors across several visa categories for Operations roles. H-1B is the most common pathway for full-time hires. F-1 OPT and CPT allow students and recent graduates to work during their degree program or authorized post-graduation period. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. For longer-term employment, Globus also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Globus Medical's Operations roles typically require a degree in engineering, supply chain, operations management, or a closely related field. For H-1B sponsorship, the degree must directly relate to the specific role. Practical experience in medical device manufacturing, GMP environments, quality systems such as ISO 13485, or regulatory compliance strengthens both your application and the visa petition. Roles at higher seniority levels often require demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects.
How does the sponsorship timeline work for an Operations role at Globus Medical?
For H-1B sponsorship, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL first, which typically takes around seven business days. The I-129 petition is then filed with USCIS, with standard processing running several months. H-1B cap-subject petitions are only accepted in April for an October 1 start date. If you are on OPT, cap-gap rules may bridge any gap. Premium processing is available if you need a faster USCIS decision on the I-129.
