Document hands-on experience with technical precision
Globus Medical's mechanic roles involve maintaining and troubleshooting equipment used in medical device manufacturing, where regulatory compliance matters. Gather records of experience with CNC machinery, cleanroom protocols, or ISO-certified environments before you apply.
Target roles aligned with FDA-regulated production
Mechanic positions in medical device companies often require familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments. Focus your search on Globus Medical's manufacturing or operations job postings, where production compliance experience directly strengthens your sponsorship case.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open mechanic roles
Globus Medical posts mechanic openings across multiple facilities, and availability shifts frequently. Use Migrate Mate to browse current listings filtered specifically for visa-sponsoring employers in the medical device space so you're targeting active opportunities.
Confirm sponsorship eligibility early in conversations
Some Globus Medical mechanic roles qualify for H-1B or TN sponsorship depending on the job's technical requirements and your credentials. Ask the recruiter directly which visa categories the role supports before investing time in the interview process.
Understand how TN status applies to your situation
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, TN classification can be a faster path into a mechanic role since it doesn't require USCIS petition approval before you start. Verify with the hiring team whether the specific position qualifies under the USMCA engineer or technician categories.
Prepare for PERM timing if pursuing a Green Card
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship requires Globus Medical to complete a PERM labor certification through DOL, which can take a year or longer. If long-term U.S. residence is your goal, raise this pathway with your employer during the offer stage, not after onboarding.

Find Mechanic at Globus Medical JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Mechanics?
Yes, Globus Medical has sponsored H-1B visas for workers in technical and manufacturing roles, including positions that overlap with mechanic functions. Whether a specific mechanic role qualifies depends on how the job is classified and whether it meets USCIS specialty occupation criteria. Roles requiring specialized technical knowledge in medical device manufacturing are more likely to qualify than general maintenance positions.
How do I apply for Mechanic jobs at Globus Medical?
Applications go through Globus Medical's careers portal, where mechanic and manufacturing support roles are listed by facility and department. You can also browse open mechanic positions at Globus Medical filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Before applying, confirm that your experience aligns with the equipment types and compliance standards noted in the job description, since Globus Medical's manufacturing environment is regulated under FDA quality system requirements.
Which visa types are commonly used for Mechanic roles at Globus Medical?
Globus Medical has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and Green Card pathways (EB-2 and EB-3) for workers in technical roles. For mechanic positions specifically, TN is a practical option for Canadian and Mexican nationals, while F-1 OPT or CPT can work for recent graduates completing degrees in engineering technology or a related field. H-1B and Green Card sponsorship typically apply to roles with stronger technical specialization requirements.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect for Mechanic roles?
Most mechanic openings at Globus Medical require hands-on experience with industrial or precision manufacturing equipment, and familiarity with regulated production environments is a strong differentiator. Experience with CNC machines, preventive maintenance programs, or equipment used in cleanroom or GMP settings is commonly referenced in their job postings. Technical certifications in mechanical systems or manufacturing processes can support both your application and your visa petition documentation.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Mechanic role at Globus Medical?
Timeline depends on the visa category. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the port of entry with no advance USCIS filing. H-1B sponsorship follows the April lottery and October 1 start date cycle, so you'd typically wait six to eighteen months from job offer to work authorization. Green Card sponsorship through PERM and an EB-3 petition adds further time, often two or more years depending on your country of birth and USCIS processing volumes.
