Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Senior Software Engineering Jobs at Globus Medical Jobs
Align Your Portfolio to Surgical Robotics Software
Globus Medical's software roles center on robotics navigation, imaging pipelines, and embedded systems for surgical devices. Highlighting experience with real-time systems, FDA-regulated software development, or IEC 62304 compliance makes your application directly relevant rather than generically strong.
Verify Your OPT Timing Before Applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization window covers the full hiring timeline. Senior-level engineering roles at medical device companies often move through multiple interview rounds, and a short OPT runway can stall an offer before a cap-subject H-1B petition can be filed.
Target Roles With Regulatory Software Responsibilities
Senior Software Engineering postings at Globus Medical that involve design controls, software validation, or risk management under FDA 21 CFR Part 820 are more likely to support specialty occupation classification, which strengthens your H-1B petition at the USCIS adjudication stage.
Ask Directly About PERM Timelines During Offers
If permanent residency is your goal, clarify early whether Globus Medical initiates PERM-based Green Card sponsorship for this role. DOL PERM processing currently runs well over a year, so understanding the company's standard practice before signing prevents surprises during the H-1B renewal cycle.
Browse Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Filtering for Senior Software Engineering positions at medical device companies that sponsor specific visa types saves significant research time. Use Migrate Mate to identify current Globus Medical openings already filtered by sponsorship eligibility before submitting your application.
Prepare a Degree-to-Role Mapping Document
USCIS scrutinizes whether a computer science or engineering degree directly supports the specific software role offered. For medical device positions, a one-page summary mapping your coursework or credentials to the device software domain strengthens your petition and speeds employer counsel review.

Find Senior Software Engineering at Globus Medical JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineers?
Yes, Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineering roles. The company's engineering functions, particularly those tied to surgical robotics and regulated device software, generally satisfy the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires. If you're cap-subject, timing your application to align with the April H-1B filing window is essential since there's no off-cycle alternative for most candidates.
How do I apply for Senior Software Engineering jobs at Globus Medical?
Applications go through Globus Medical's careers portal, where Senior Software Engineering roles are listed by location and product line. Before applying, review whether the posting references regulatory software, robotics, or imaging systems, since those specializations align most directly with the company's sponsorship-supported engineering work. Migrate Mate also lists open roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which helps you confirm a position before investing time in the application.
Which visa types does Globus Medical commonly use for Senior Software Engineering roles?
Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for most international Senior Software Engineering hires, along with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican citizens who qualify under the USMCA professional categories. For new graduates, F-1 OPT and CPT are accepted during early employment. The company also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways and accommodates J-1 visa holders in eligible training or research contexts.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect for Senior Software Engineering roles?
Most Senior Software Engineering postings at Globus Medical expect a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, along with substantial professional experience building production software systems. Familiarity with FDA software development standards such as IEC 62304 or design control requirements under 21 CFR Part 820 is increasingly common in postings tied to regulated device platforms and surgical robotics products.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Senior Software Engineering offer at Globus Medical?
H-1B sponsorship follows a fixed federal calendar: USCIS registration opens in March, and approved petitions take effect October 1. From offer to work authorization, that gap can reach six months or more for cap-subject candidates. Premium processing, which USCIS currently adjudicates within 15 business days, is available for H-1B petitions and can reduce uncertainty during the approval stage if your employer elects it.
