What You’ll Be Doing:
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable, intelligent workflows and applications across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM and HRSD.
- Define architectural standards and ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing platform solutions.
- Own and manage the ServiceNow platform end-to-end, including strategy, roadmap, upgrades, and overall platform health.
- Establish and enforce platform governance standards for architecture, security, scalability, and user experience.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of platform operations and service delivery.

What We Need To See:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 6+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
- 12+ overall years experience with enterprise architecture, IT leadership, or large-scale software engineering and platform management (including SaaS and AI/ML systems).
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with system-level development.
- Hands-on experience with test automation, production testing, and automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Linux, embedded systems, firmware, and hardware/software integration.
- Deep knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ServiceNow (HR, Security, Finance modules preferred).
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Automated testing frameworks, and structured software development methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive strategy, process discipline, and organizational change.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Experience implementing enterprise-grade governance for agent systems (controls, audit-ability, monitoring, policy enforcement) in production autonomous workflows.
- Demonstrated wins taking new/open-source agent constructs from POC to production adoption, with clear business impact (cycle time, quality, cost, reliability).
- Built and scaled an agent platform or agent developer experience used by multiple teams (SDKs, templates, reference apps, reusable building blocks).
- Clear point of view and real examples on build-vs-use decisions—when to adopt OSS/3P vs build internal primitives—and how to operationalize the choice.
- Deep experience with agent evaluation at scale (long-horizon tasks, tool correctness, reliability testing, automated regressions, offline/online feedback loops).

Align your portfolio to GPU-driven work
NVIDIA's engineering hiring centers on CUDA, parallel computing, and AI/ML systems. Before applying, make sure your resume and GitHub reflect direct experience with GPU programming or high-performance computing, not just general software engineering.
Target teams that consistently sponsor
NVIDIA sponsors across divisions, but teams working on driver software, deep learning frameworks, and cloud infrastructure hire internationally at higher rates. Research which product lines your specialization maps to and target those job postings directly.
Clarify your visa category early in interviews
NVIDIA sponsors H-1B, E-3, and Green Card pathways, but each has different employer obligations. If you're Australian, ask specifically about E-3 eligibility during recruiter screening. It avoids H-1B lottery dependency and can accelerate your start date significantly.
Prepare for a lengthy PERM timeline if needed
If your path to permanent residence runs through PERM labor certification, DOL processing can take a year or more before USCIS ever sees your I-140. Factor this into your timeline when evaluating an NVIDIA offer alongside your current visa status.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Not every NVIDIA job listing signals which visa categories are on the table. Migrate Mate filters Senior Software Engineering roles at NVIDIA by the sponsorship types they actively support, so you spend time on applications where you're actually eligible.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B cap dates
If you're entering on a new H-1B, USCIS cap-subject approvals have an October 1 start date. Discuss this constraint with your NVIDIA recruiter early so your offer letter and onboarding plan account for the gap between acceptance and authorized employment.

Find Senior Software Engineering at NVIDIA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does NVIDIA sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineers?
Yes, NVIDIA sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineering roles. The company files petitions through the standard USCIS cap process, including the annual April lottery window. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, NVIDIA can also file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start without waiting for a new cap cycle.
Which visa types does NVIDIA commonly use for Senior Software Engineering roles?
NVIDIA sponsors H-1B visas for most international hires in this role. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable periods. For longer-term pathways, NVIDIA supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, typically through the PERM labor certification process filed with the DOL.
What qualifications does NVIDIA expect for Senior Software Engineering positions?
Most Senior Software Engineering roles at NVIDIA require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Practical experience with GPU architectures, CUDA, C++, or AI/ML frameworks carries significant weight in their hiring process. Roles in driver development or compiler engineering often require deeper systems-level expertise.
How do I apply for Senior Software Engineering jobs at NVIDIA?
You can browse and apply for Senior Software Engineering positions at NVIDIA through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your category is supported before applying. Applications go through NVIDIA's careers portal, where you'll match against specific team needs. Tailoring your resume to the technical stack listed in each job description improves your chances of clearing the initial screening.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take after receiving an NVIDIA offer?
Timeline depends on your visa type. An H-1B transfer from an existing employer can take two to four months with USCIS standard processing, or faster with premium processing. A new cap-subject H-1B means waiting for the October 1 start date. E-3 consular processing in Australia typically runs two to six weeks from interview. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship adds a year or more before reaching the I-140 stage.
