Align Your Degree to Medical Device Sales
Globus Medical's H-1B sponsorships for Sales Specialists typically require a degree in a specialty field like biomedical engineering, kinesiology, or life sciences. A general business degree alone may not satisfy the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies to sales roles.
Target Territory Openings in Surgical Specialties
Globus hires Sales Specialists by geographic territory and product line, including spine, trauma, and enabling technologies. Applying to openings that match a region where you already have clinical or hospital relationships strengthens your case at the interview stage.
Confirm OPT or CPT Eligibility Before Applying
If you're on an F-1 visa, verify that your degree field qualifies for STEM OPT extension before accepting a Sales Specialist offer. Medical device sales roles tied to biomedical or engineering degrees often qualify, giving you up to 36 months of work authorization ahead of H-1B filing.
Ask About PERM Timing During Offer Negotiations
Globus has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for sales staff, but PERM labor certification adds 18 to 36 months before your priority date is established. Clarify during the offer stage whether the company initiates PERM alongside your first H-1B approval or waits for a performance milestone.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active Globus Sponsorship Roles
Globus Medical posts Sales Specialist openings across multiple regions at different times of year. Use Migrate Mate to filter for confirmed sponsorship-eligible roles at Globus so you're applying to positions where visa support is already on the table, not negotiating it from scratch.
Prepare for the H-1B Cap Timeline in Sales Hiring
Globus typically hires Sales Specialists on a rolling basis, but H-1B cap filings only open in April for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask whether the role can begin on OPT, TN, or J-1 status to bridge the gap until your H-1B is active.

Find Sales Specialist at Globus Medical JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Specialists?
Yes, Globus Medical has a consistent record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Sales Specialist roles. Sponsorship is most straightforward when your degree is in a specialty field directly tied to the position, such as biomedical engineering or a life sciences discipline, since USCIS evaluates whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation before approving the petition.
Which visa types does Globus Medical commonly use for Sales Specialist roles?
Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Sales Specialists. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying degree fields, J-1 for eligible exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-tenured employees moving toward permanent residency.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect for Sales Specialist positions?
Globus Medical Sales Specialist roles typically require a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, kinesiology, biology, or a related field, plus demonstrated ability to work in a clinical or hospital environment. Many postings prefer candidates with prior medical device, pharmaceutical, or surgical sales experience. Familiarity with spine, trauma, or orthopedic product lines is a recurring preference across their territory-based openings.
How do I apply for Sales Specialist jobs at Globus Medical?
You can apply directly through Globus Medical's careers page, where roles are listed by territory and product division. To filter specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces active Globus Medical Sales Specialist openings with sponsorship eligibility already identified, so you're not spending time on postings that won't support your visa situation.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Globus Medical?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date if selected. If Globus extends an offer outside that window, ask whether you can begin in a bridge status such as OPT, TN, or J-1. USCIS also offers a 60-day grace period after a prior employer's sponsorship ends, giving you time to secure a new offer before falling out of status.
