Tips for Finding Project Engineer Jobs at Globus Medical
Align your degree field to the role
Globus Medical's Project Engineer postings consistently require mechanical or biomedical engineering degrees. Confirm your transcripts show a matching field of study before applying, since H-1B specialty occupation approval depends on that direct degree-to-role connection.
Document hands-on medical device experience
Globus Medical prioritizes candidates who have worked within FDA-regulated environments. Gather performance reviews, project documentation, or letters from supervisors that demonstrate experience with design controls, DHF processes, or medical device manufacturing before your interview.
Target Globus Medical's Pennsylvania and Texas sites
Most Project Engineer openings are concentrated at Globus Medical's Audubon, Pennsylvania headquarters and its Huntsville or Texas facilities. Applying to roles tied to those locations shortens your review timeline and keeps you closer to the hiring managers who drive sponsorship decisions.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open sponsorship roles
Search Migrate Mate to surface active Project Engineer listings at Globus Medical that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're not spending time on postings where sponsorship is unconfirmed or unavailable for your visa category.
Ask about LCA timing before you accept
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can receive your H-1B petition. Ask your Globus Medical recruiter when LCA filing is typically initiated so your start date is set with enough lead time to avoid gaps in work authorization.
Protect your OPT cap-gap if you're on F-1
If you're on F-1 OPT when Globus Medical files your H-1B, the cap-gap rule extends your work authorization through September 30 of that year. Confirm with your DSO that your OPT end date falls within the cap-gap window before you resign any current position.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Project Engineers?
Yes, Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for Project Engineers. The company operates in a highly regulated medical device environment where engineering roles typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical, or a closely related engineering field. Sponsorship is most straightforward when your degree field directly matches the posted role.
Which visa types does Globus Medical commonly use for Project Engineer roles?
Globus Medical sponsors across several visa categories for engineering talent, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals with engineering degrees, and J-1 visa for qualifying exchange visitors. For longer-term employment, the company also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which are common progressions for engineers who join on an H-1B.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect for Project Engineer candidates requiring sponsorship?
Globus Medical typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical or biomedical engineering, familiarity with FDA design control requirements, and experience contributing to device development or manufacturing projects. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on DHF documentation, process validation, or cross-functional project coordination within a regulated device environment are strongly positioned for both the role and sponsorship approval.
How do I apply for Project Engineer jobs at Globus Medical?
You can browse and apply for open Project Engineer positions through Migrate Mate, which filters for Globus Medical roles that are open to visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect FDA-regulated device experience and ensure your degree field is clearly stated, since Globus Medical's recruiting team and any subsequent USCIS H-1B review will both assess that degree-to-role alignment directly.
How do I plan my timeline when Globus Medical files an H-1B petition for me?
Standard H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start, following the March registration lottery. USCIS regular processing can take three to six months after filing. If you need an earlier start, ask your Globus Medical HR contact whether the company will pay for premium processing, which USCIS currently adjudicates within 15 business days. Build at least six months of lead time into any job offer negotiation.
