Align your portfolio to implant-specific engineering
Globus Medical focuses on musculoskeletal implants and surgical tools. Highlight CAD work, tolerance analysis, or design verification experience tied to Class II or Class III medical devices before you apply. Generic mechanical portfolios get screened out early.
Confirm your visa category before accepting interviews
Mechanical Engineer roles at Globus can support H-1B, TN, and green card pathways depending on your citizenship and degree. Knowing which category applies to you lets you ask the right questions during the offer stage instead of scrambling after.
Use DOL LCA disclosures to benchmark your offer
Before negotiating, search DOL's Labor Condition Application disclosure data for Globus Medical's Mechanical Engineer filings. This shows the prevailing wage level they've certified for similar roles, so you know whether an offer is at Level I, II, or III.
Target open roles on Migrate Mate to filter by sponsorship
Browse Mechanical Engineer openings at Globus Medical on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers. You can confirm active openings without sifting through listings that don't support your work authorization.
Prepare your credential documentation for specialty occupation review
H-1B petitions for engineering roles require USCIS to confirm the position qualifies as a specialty occupation. Have your degree transcripts, a detailed job description, and any professional engineering licenses ready before your employer's immigration counsel starts the I-129 filing.
Ask specifically about PERM timing if you want a Green Card
If long-term U.S. residency matters to you, ask during the offer stage whether Globus Medical initiates PERM-based EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship for Mechanical Engineers. PERM labor certification can take one to two years before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition.

Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineers?
Yes, Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineers. The company operates in medical device design and manufacturing, and Mechanical Engineer roles consistently meet USCIS specialty occupation standards because they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering. Sponsorship is handled through the company's immigration counsel once an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Mechanical Engineer jobs at Globus Medical?
Apply through Globus Medical's careers page or browse their open Mechanical Engineer roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces listings filtered for visa sponsorship. Before applying, tailor your resume to reflect implant or surgical device experience, as Globus prioritizes candidates with medical device backgrounds over general mechanical engineering experience.
Which visa types does Globus Medical commonly use for Mechanical Engineers?
Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for most international Mechanical Engineers, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. Canadian and Mexican engineers may qualify for TN status under the USMCA. For longer-term pathways, Globus also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification for Mechanical Engineer roles.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect from Mechanical Engineer candidates?
Globus Medical typically hires Mechanical Engineers with a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or biomedical engineering. Practical experience with SolidWorks or CATIA, GD&T, and design verification under FDA or ISO 13485 quality systems strengthens your application significantly. Roles in implant development often require familiarity with biomechanics and materials used in orthopedic or spinal devices.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Mechanical Engineer at Globus Medical?
For H-1B sponsorship, your employer files the I-129 petition after the April lottery selection, with employment typically starting October 1. OPT-to-H-1B transitions usually take six to eight months from filing to start date. If you need a cap-exempt path, TN status for Canadian or Mexican engineers can be processed at the border in a single day.
