Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Engineering Jobs at Globus Medical Jobs
Align your degree to device engineering roles
Globus Medical's engineering requisitions typically require a degree in mechanical, biomedical, or electrical engineering. If your degree title differs from the job's field requirement, prepare documentation showing how your coursework maps to the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies.
Target roles tied to implant development
Product development and R&D engineering roles at medical device companies like Globus Medical tend to generate the clearest specialty occupation arguments for H-1B petitions. Roles closer to general manufacturing support can face more scrutiny, so target positions with explicit design or validation responsibilities.
Verify your OPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm how many months remain before your practical training period expires. Globus Medical's engineering hiring cycle can run several months from application to offer, so starting your search with less than six months of OPT remaining creates real timing risk.
Ask recruiters about the LCA filing process
Before accepting an offer, ask Globus Medical's talent acquisition team whether they use outside immigration counsel for LCA filings with DOL. Understanding their internal process timeline helps you plan your start date around the certified Labor Condition Application, which must be approved before your H-1B petition is filed.
Find open engineering roles on Migrate Mate
Browse engineering positions at Globus Medical and filter by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles from employers with documented sponsorship activity so you can focus your applications on companies that have actually filed for candidates in similar functions.
Prepare regulatory documentation if switching from academic research
Globus Medical engineering roles often require familiarity with FDA design controls and ISO 13485. If your background is academic or in a different industry, gather project documentation showing hands-on work with regulated product development before interviews, as this directly affects the specialty occupation argument in your petition.

Does Globus Medical sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Globus Medical sponsors H-1B visas for engineering roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file Labor Condition Applications with the DOL and H-1B petitions with USCIS for qualifying candidates. Engineering positions in product development, R&D, and quality functions are the most common pathways, as they typically satisfy the specialty occupation requirement tied to a specific degree field.
Which visa types does Globus Medical commonly use for Engineering roles?
Globus Medical supports several visa categories for engineering hires, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering disciplines, and J-1 for exchange visitors. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, the company has filed under EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, which require a PERM labor certification through the DOL before the immigrant petition stage.
What qualifications does Globus Medical expect for Engineering positions?
Most engineering roles at Globus Medical require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline, such as mechanical, biomedical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering. Roles in R&D and product development frequently expect familiarity with FDA design controls, design verification and validation processes, and ISO 13485 quality standards. Advanced degrees can strengthen both your candidacy and the specialty occupation argument in a visa petition.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Globus Medical?
You can search and apply for engineering roles through Globus Medical's careers portal or find sponsorship-verified openings on Migrate Mate, which filters for employers with a documented history of visa filings. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific engineering function, whether that's product development, regulatory, or manufacturing, and be prepared to discuss your visa status and timeline early in recruiter conversations.
How do I plan my timeline around Globus Medical's engineering hiring process?
Globus Medical's engineering recruitment typically runs two to four months from application to offer. If you need H-1B sponsorship, factor in that USCIS H-1B cap registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility so a gap between OPT expiration and H-1B status doesn't interrupt employment. Starting your search at least six months before a status deadline gives you realistic runway.
