Align your experience with Amazon's fulfillment scale
Amazon Operations roles prioritize measurable process improvements and lean methodology experience. Frame your resume around throughput metrics, cost reduction outcomes, and cross-functional project scope rather than general operations duties.
Target roles tied to Amazon's network expansion
Amazon consistently builds new fulfillment and delivery stations, which drives recurring Operations hiring. Searching specifically for roles in newer facility markets improves your odds of landing a position that's actively budgeted for headcount, including sponsored headcount.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
Amazon sponsors multiple visa types for Operations roles. Confirm whether your situation requires an H-1B cap filing, an E-3, or an H-1B1, since each has different timelines. Raising this early prevents mismatches between your start date and the filing window.
Prepare your credential documentation before final rounds
Amazon's immigration teams move quickly once an offer is extended. Have your degree transcripts, any foreign credential evaluations, and prior visa documentation ready so your employer's legal team can begin the DOL Labor Condition Application without delays.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Operations roles at Amazon
Filtering specifically for visa-sponsoring Operations positions at Amazon saves significant time. Migrate Mate surfaces these roles with sponsorship context so you can prioritize applications to the teams most likely to move forward with international candidates.
Account for H-1B lottery timing in your job search plan
If you need an H-1B cap filing, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Structure your interview timeline so an offer can realistically be extended before registration closes, or explore whether an E-3 or H-1B1 bypasses the lottery entirely.

Find Operations at Amazon JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Amazon sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Amazon sponsors H-1B visas for Operations positions across its fulfillment, supply chain, and logistics functions. It also sponsors E-3 visas for Australian citizens and H-1B1 visas for Chilean and Singaporean nationals. If you're exploring cap-exempt alternatives or already have status to transfer, Amazon's immigration team handles those cases as well.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Amazon?
Applications go through Amazon's career site, where you can filter by job family and location. For visa-sponsored roles specifically, Migrate Mate aggregates open Operations positions at Amazon with sponsorship context, so you can prioritize the listings most relevant to your situation before applying directly through Amazon's portal.
Which visa types does Amazon commonly use for Operations roles?
Amazon uses H-1B, E-3, and H-1B1 visas for Operations hires depending on the candidate's nationality. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, Amazon also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. The appropriate category depends on your citizenship and the specific role's requirements.
What qualifications does Amazon typically expect for Operations roles?
Most Operations roles at Amazon require a bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field. Amazon places strong weight on data-driven decision-making, experience with high-volume logistics environments, and familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma. Prior experience in large-scale distribution or manufacturing operations is a consistent differentiator.
How do I time my application around visa filing deadlines?
For H-1B cap-subject candidates, USCIS registration typically opens in March for an October 1 start date, so targeting interviews between January and February gives Amazon's legal team enough runway. E-3 and H-1B1 candidates have more flexibility since those categories aren't subject to the annual lottery, but LCA certification through the DOL still adds two to four weeks to the process.
