Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Delivery Driver Jobs at McLane Company Jobs
Get your CDL before applying
McLane hires Delivery Drivers primarily for Class A CDL routes. Having a valid CDL already in hand before you approach them removes a major hiring barrier and signals you're ready to work, not waiting on licensure.
Target distribution hubs in high-need regions
McLane operates dozens of distribution centers nationwide. Locations in rural or underserved markets often have more urgent driver shortages, which translates to stronger employer motivation to file a sponsorship petition on your behalf.
Confirm your visa category fits a driver role
H-1B is typically reserved for specialty occupations requiring a degree. For a CDL-based driver role, TN, F-1 OPT, or employer-sponsored Green Card pathways like EB-3 are more practical fits. Clarify this with the recruiter early so expectations align before an offer is extended.
Ask about EB-3 during the offer stage
EB-3 unskilled and semi-skilled worker classifications can cover commercial driving roles. PERM labor certification is required, which adds months to the timeline. Raise it at the offer stage so McLane's immigration counsel can assess feasibility before you accept.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open driver positions
McLane posts Delivery Driver openings across multiple regions at any given time. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for McLane Company driver roles flagged for visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already on the table.
Prepare your DOT medical certificate in advance
Federal motor carrier regulations require a valid DOT physical certificate for commercial drivers. Having your current medical examiner's certificate ready before your interview shows compliance readiness and removes a common pre-hire delay for sponsored candidates.

Find Delivery Driver at McLane Company JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does McLane Company sponsor H-1B visas for Delivery Drivers?
McLane does have a history of H-1B sponsorship, but H-1B classification is designed for specialty occupations typically requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. A standard Delivery Driver role does not usually meet that threshold. Candidates targeting driver positions at McLane are more commonly supported through EB-3 Green Card sponsorship or, where applicable, TN visa classification for Canadian and Mexican nationals.
How do I apply for Delivery Driver jobs at McLane Company?
Applications go through McLane's careers portal, where driver openings are listed by distribution center location. You can also find McLane Delivery Driver roles on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions at companies with a visa sponsorship track record. When applying, confirm with the recruiter early that the specific role and location support sponsorship, since not every opening will.
Which visa types are commonly used for Delivery Driver roles at McLane Company?
For a CDL-based driving role, EB-3 employer-sponsored Green Card sponsorship is the most practical pathway, covering semi-skilled and unskilled workers through a PERM labor certification process. TN visa classification is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories. F-1 OPT and CPT can also apply for students in logistics or transportation programs completing practical training.
What qualifications and experience does McLane Company expect for Delivery Driver roles?
A Class A CDL is the baseline requirement for most McLane driver positions. Employers in this segment also look for a clean driving record, a valid DOT medical certificate, and hands-on experience operating tractor-trailers on commercial routes. Some postings require prior food and beverage or grocery distribution experience, reflecting McLane's core customer base of convenience stores, mass merchants, and chain restaurants.
How do I understand the timeline for Green Card sponsorship through a McLane driver role?
EB-3 sponsorship requires your employer to complete PERM labor certification through the DOL before filing an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. From start to finish, the process typically spans one to three years depending on PERM audit rates and visa bulletin priority dates. Discuss this timeline with McLane's HR or immigration counsel at the offer stage so you can plan your status and authorization continuity accordingly.
