Position Summary
The Rough Mower position is responsible for mowing rough areas around the golf course and club grounds. A Rough Mower is expected to work alone and alongside other members of the staff. All employees should be punctual, have good communication skills, a good attitude, a strong work ethic, and enjoy a team atmosphere.
DUTIES
- Ability to mow all areas of the course accordingly
- Attention to details
- Communicate and assist Assistant Superintendent with daily responsibilities
- Drive and maintain machinery in a safe manner
- Operate heavy equipment
- Perform all daily maintenance activities
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course
WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Auditory: Ability to communicate clearly in routine conversations in person, via telephone or 2-way radio. Must be able to hear normal sounds with background noise and distinguish voice patterns.
Environmental Conditions: This position’s duties require 40 hours a week working outside in the elements. Must be able to work outside and in most any conditions for extended periods of time.
Other: Ability to produce information in written form. Ability to operate heavy equipment. Ability to pay attention to detail and concentrate for 60 minutes or more with constant interruptions.
Strength: Ability to move to and from various points within Pinehurst Country Club, as well as within the outdoor environment, surrounding communities, and the Front Range. Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds up to 50 feet.
Visual: Ability to perform manipulative skills that require hand-eye coordination such as a calculator or computer and be able to see objects closely as in typing a document or reading a report.
COMPENSATION
- Wage: $21.00/hour
