Align your credentials to construction QA standards
Prime Controls operates in construction and real estate, so credentials like CQIA, CQE, or experience with building inspection standards carry real weight. Frame your resume around quality systems specific to construction environments, not just general manufacturing QA.
Target open roles before H-1B registration opens
H-1B registration runs in March for an October 1 start date. Securing an offer from Prime Controls before February gives the employer time to prepare the LCA filing with DOL and submit your USCIS registration without rushing the process.
Verify Prime Controls files LCAs for QA roles
Search the DOL's FLAG system for Prime Controls Labor Condition Applications tied to Quality Assurance Engineer titles. Confirmed LCA filings for this role category signal that their legal team is already set up to process your petition category.
Use TN status if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Quality Assurance Engineer can qualify under the TN visa's engineer category if your role involves engineering-level analysis. TN status doesn't require a lottery and can be activated at the border or port of entry, making the timeline significantly shorter than H-1B.
Negotiate start dates around OPT or CPT authorization windows
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employment authorization must be active before your first day. Coordinate your start date with Prime Controls' HR team so the USCIS-issued EAD card arrives before onboarding, since working even one day without it violates your status.
