Align your credentials to ASME and ISO standards
Shermco's Quality Engineer roles frequently reference ASME, NETA, and ISO 9001 frameworks. Before applying, make sure your resume and certifications explicitly call out experience with these standards, not just general quality assurance work.
Target postings that list F-1 OPT explicitly
Shermco has sponsored F-1 OPT candidates for engineering roles. When reviewing job listings, look for language that signals near-term authorization flexibility, which indicates the hiring team is already familiar with shorter-duration work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Quality Engineer roles by visa type
Search Shermco Industries specifically on Migrate Mate, filtering by your visa category. This lets you identify which active Quality Engineer postings have been associated with sponsorship, so you can prioritize your applications accordingly.
Prepare a PERM-ready employment history file
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, employers like Shermco must run a PERM labor certification through DOL. Having a clean, verifiable work history with documented dates, titles, and employer contact information ready speeds up that process significantly.

Find Quality Engineer at Shermco Industries JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Shermco Industries sponsor H-1B visas for Quality Engineers?
Shermco Industries does sponsor work visas for Quality Engineer roles, and their sponsorship activity includes pathways relevant to H-1B candidates. Because H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role, location, and timing relative to the annual cap, you should raise the question directly with the recruiter during the initial screening call to confirm the company's current posture for the position you're targeting.
How do I apply for Quality Engineer jobs at Shermco Industries?
You can find and apply for Quality Engineer openings at Shermco Industries directly through Migrate Mate, which aggregates their active postings and filters by visa sponsorship type. Shermco typically lists roles on their own careers page as well. Tailor your application to highlight quality systems experience, relevant certifications such as CQE or Six Sigma, and any background in electrical or industrial testing environments.
Which visa types does Shermco Industries commonly use for Quality Engineer roles?
Shermco Industries has sponsored Quality Engineers across several visa categories, including F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. TN visas apply specifically to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles. OPT and CPT are options for current F-1 students or recent graduates entering quality functions at the company.
What qualifications does Shermco Industries expect from Quality Engineer candidates?
Shermco typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related technical field, along with hands-on experience in quality management systems such as ISO 9001. Familiarity with NETA standards, electrical testing environments, or industrial services is a meaningful differentiator. Professional certifications like ASQ's Certified Quality Engineer credential strengthen your application, particularly if your degree field isn't an exact match for the specific role.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Quality Engineers at Shermco Industries?
Timelines vary depending on the visa type. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at a port of entry the same day. F-1 OPT authorization takes roughly 90 days from USCIS after your school files the application. H-1B sponsorship tied to the annual cap means a start date no earlier than October 1 following the April lottery. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship runs 12 to 24 months or longer depending on DOL processing and your priority date.
