Job Roles at Sophos Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Sophos Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles in cybersecurity and software engineering
Sophos's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines aligned with its core business. Focus your search on software development, threat intelligence, and security engineering roles, where the company has a demonstrated pattern of sponsoring international candidates.
Understand that Sophos sponsors both temporary and permanent pathways
Sophos files both H-1B petitions and employment-based Green Cards. If long-term U.S. residence is your goal, ask during the interview process how the company approaches Green Card sponsorship for qualifying employees in your department.
Position your degree as directly relevant to the role
H-1B sponsorship at technology companies like Sophos requires a specialty occupation tied to a specific field of study. Frame your degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related discipline as central to the responsibilities listed in the job description.
Apply early in the hiring cycle to account for H-1B cap timing
If you need a new H-1B, Sophos must file during the annual cap window. Starting the process early gives the company time to complete the Labor Condition Application and prepare the petition before the registration deadline in March.
Browse verified sponsor listings before you apply
Not every job posting discloses visa sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on companies like Sophos with a confirmed track record.
Highlight experience with enterprise security products or platforms
Sophos serves enterprise and mid-market customers with products spanning endpoint, firewall, and managed detection. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with similar technologies are more likely to clear the technical bar for sponsored roles.

Does Sophos sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Sophos sponsors H-1B visas for qualified candidates in technical roles. The company's H-1B sponsorship is focused on specialty occupation positions in software development, cybersecurity, and related fields. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed within a specific annual window, it's worth raising sponsorship eligibility early in the interview process to confirm timing works for your situation.
What types of visas does Sophos sponsor?
Sophos sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based immigrant visas, including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. The company's Green Card filings represent the majority of its recent sponsorship activity, which suggests it actively supports long-term work authorization for employees who have demonstrated value in their roles. H-1B sponsorship is also available for new hires who meet specialty occupation requirements.
Which departments or roles at Sophos are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Visa sponsorship at Sophos is most common in technical roles directly tied to its cybersecurity product lines. Software engineers, security researchers, data scientists, and cloud infrastructure specialists are the profiles most aligned with sponsored positions. Corporate and administrative functions are far less likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship given the specialty occupation requirement.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Sophos?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find Sophos roles that include verified visa sponsorship. Rather than sifting through job listings that don't disclose sponsorship status, Migrate Mate lets you filter directly by sponsor and visa type, so you can confirm Sophos is actively hiring in your field before investing time in an application.
How do I approach the sponsorship conversation when applying to Sophos?
Raise visa sponsorship after you've cleared at least one interview round and there's mutual interest. By that point, the recruiter is invested in your candidacy and the conversation is practical rather than premature. Be specific about what you need, whether that's a new H-1B cap-subject petition, a transfer of an existing H-1B, or eventual Green Card sponsorship, so Sophos's HR team can assess feasibility with legal counsel.
