Align your cloud certifications to TCS project stacks
TCS Cloud Consultant roles frequently support clients on AWS, Azure, and GCP migrations. Holding an active certification in at least one of these platforms strengthens your specialty occupation case and signals direct project readiness to recruiters screening for client-facing work.
Request your LCA details before signing an offer
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B petition. Ask which prevailing wage level TCS intends to use for your Cloud Consultant role and confirm it matches your offer, since mismatches can create complications during USCIS adjudication.
Prepare a degree-to-role narrative for specialty occupation
USCIS scrutinizes consulting roles for specialty occupation qualification. Document how your bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field directly applies to the Cloud Consultant duties described in your job offer letter.
Target TCS business units with active cloud client mandates
TCS organizes hiring around industry verticals including banking, retail, and manufacturing. Cloud Consultant openings tied to active digital transformation mandates in these verticals move faster through offer and sponsorship approval than roles opened for general bench capacity.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Cloud Consultant roles at TCS
Migrate Mate lets you browse verified Cloud Consultant openings at TCS filtered by visa type, so you can identify which roles are actively sponsoring H-1B, TN, or OPT before you apply rather than finding out after the interview.

Does Tata Consultancy Services sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Consultants?
Yes, Tata Consultancy Services sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Consultants. TCS is one of the more active H-1B sponsors in the technology services industry. Sponsorship is typically tied to a confirmed client project or internal role, so having a specific job offer in hand before the petition is filed is standard practice.
How do I apply for Cloud Consultant jobs at Tata Consultancy Services?
You can apply directly through the TCS careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which lists verified Cloud Consultant openings at TCS filtered by visa sponsorship type. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight cloud platform experience relevant to the specific business unit or vertical the role supports, as TCS often screens for client-specific technical alignment.
Which visa types does Tata Consultancy Services commonly use for Cloud Consultant roles?
TCS sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for Cloud Consultant positions, depending on your nationality and current status. H-1B is the most common long-term path. Canadian and Mexican nationals are often routed through TN. Students completing degrees in the U.S. frequently start on OPT or CPT before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What qualifications does TCS expect for Cloud Consultant roles?
TCS typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Active cloud certifications carry significant weight. For H-1B purposes, your degree and job duties need to align closely enough to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I plan my timeline if TCS is sponsoring my H-1B for a Cloud Consultant role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, confirm your authorization end date covers this gap. TCS handles the USCIS filing after your offer is confirmed, but expect three to six months from offer acceptance to petition approval without premium processing. Factor this into your start date negotiations.
