Position Summary
Provides operational leadership and management for The Institute for Advanced Biomedical Imaging. Directs and manages the Imaging staff, department budget and ensures quality patient care delivery in coordination with hospital strategic goals. Collaborates with the Chief Operating Officer, medical director(s), medical staff, clinical services administrative team, and staff on issues related to the management of care to ensure quality patient care delivery.
Essential Duties

Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance and resources. Determines staff qualifications and competency: recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.

Prepares the department’s annual operating budget and monitors expenses and cost reduction strategies. Manages overall department budget including personnel, revenue and operational expenses.

Directs and assesses capital budget needs. Plans and evaluates in coordination with the Medical Director and incorporates multiyear capital budget planning.

Participates with clinical departments and helps resolve issues and workflow problems related to the management and delivery of quality patient care.

Collaborates with ancillary service departments to deliver joint imaging services as needed.

Monitors and reconciles financial and clinical information systems to determine correct patient charges, orders and diagnostic imaging interpretive reports.

Collaborates with the Radiology Medical Director on identifying, addressing and problem solving operational, quality assurance and control issues.

Ensures Imaging compliance by regulatory entities including; state, federal, ACR, Joint Commission and other related agencies as required.

Collaborates with the IST Department to maintain proper functionality of imaging related information systems and provides continuous feedback for ongoing issues and future planning.

Monitors and implements all imaging equipment maintenance schedules and repairs as required.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Master’s degree preferred.

Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience as a Diagnostic Radiology/or CT Technologist, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role required.

Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Current A.R.R.T. (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
Salary Range: $135,674.89 - $179,430.05
