DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all duties related to livestock and feed production.
- Assist with daily tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Attend to cattle.
- Drive farm trucks, farm tractors, and other equipment to assist in the production of livestock feed.
- Haul feed and water and transport cattle.
- Assist with banding, ear tagging, branding, catching and loading, and hauling manure.
- Inspect and maintain equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences.
- May maintain records on cattle.
- Examine cattle to detect diseases or injuries.
- Assist with calving.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate.
- Mowing pastures and ditches & other related Farm Worker, Livestock activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).
Possible weekend/holiday work.
The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
