ABOUT THE ROLE
Gastroenterology opportunity at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Located in North Central West Virginia where you can have a significant impact on the lives of your patients while enjoying the benefits of living in one of West Virginia’s top-ranked communities.
WVU Health System Medical Group (SMG) seeks a gastroenterologist to join a well-established and expanding hospital practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical skills.
DUTIES:
Successful candidates will diagnose and treat patients with digestive disorders including liver disease, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, cancers and other disorders of the gastrointestinal system in both the outpatient and inpatient setting.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology. Applicants must be board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.

- Call of 1:6 and every sixth week inpatient service
- 6 Advanced Practice Providers across inpatient and clinic
- Over 100 endoscopy cases per physician per month
- 3 days in clinic and 2 days in endoscopy
