Inventory Control Specialist
The Inventory Control Specialist is the critical link between production efficiency and supply chain accuracy. This role accurately identifies, handles, and manages small parts and complex part numbers. Success in this role requires strong inventory system skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pull small electronic parts from pick tickets and work orders to support production requirements.
- Sort, label, move, and store inventory with accuracy and efficiency to maintain an organized stockroom.
- Stock shelves and issue components to manufacturing and PCB production teams in a timely manner.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, lot codes, and component details to ensure inventory and production accuracy.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and other inventory control activities to maintain accurate records.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring smooth workflow and consistent material availability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or electronic component handling experience strongly preferred.
- Cable assembly, soldering, technical/electronic hobbyist and/or military electrical/technical training experience is a plus.
- Experience in semi-conductor and contracting manufacturing environments is desirable.
- Familiarity with electronic components and part-number identification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling small electronic components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills, including handheld tablets or scanners.
- Good aptitude for working with number sequences, part numbers, and organized inventory systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
