The Automation and Process Control Engineer role is based in Beloit, Wisconsin (on-site role).

Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Design, configure, and commission process control systems, including distributed control systems and programmable logic controllers, to support manufacturing operations
- Develop and optimize control strategies, including proportional-integral-derivative control loops, to improve process stability, efficiency, and safety
- Serve as the site subject matter expert for distributed control systems, instrumentation, and process automation systems
- Lead and support automation and capital improvement projects, including system upgrades, commissioning, and start-up activities
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to implement new or improved process control strategies
- Maintain and enhance human-machine interface systems and control room graphics to support effective operator interaction
- Support and troubleshoot plant-wide automation systems, including control systems, data historians, and industrial networks, to ensure consistent operations
- Participate in and lead incident investigations related to process control systems, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed
- Provide technical support for continuous manufacturing operations, including off-hours support as needed for critical system issues
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field
- Alternatively, ten or more years of directly relevant process control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in process control systems, with the majority focused on automation and controls
- Strong experience with distributed control systems, including system design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV or similar distributed control systems, such as Honeywell Experion or Yokogawa Centum
- Proven ability to design and modify control logic, control narratives, and system configurations, not limited to system operation
- Experience working in chemical or process manufacturing environments with continuous or batch processing operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including piping and instrumentation diagrams, logic diagrams, and electrical drawings
- Working knowledge of process safety management elements, including process hazard analysis and management of change
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
