Role Responsibilities
Build AI-assisted apps, workflow automations, internal tools, and lightweight agents across product and platform areas.
Translate customer, agent, and business needs into clear specs and end-to-end production solutions.
Use AI to speed up modernization, testing, documentation, observability, and productivity.
Review AI-generated code and designs to ensure security, privacy, compliance, reliability, and quality.
Track system adoption, usage, conversion, errors, customer friction, and operational outcomes.
Design and maintain scalable, secure, fault-tolerant architectures for high-volume financial transactions.
Lead architecture reviews, proofs-of-concept, and design discussions across teams.
Develop integrations with risk, compliance orchestration, third-party platforms, and digital channels.
Build and maintain compliance back-office solutions like transaction monitoring, controls, reconciliation, and reporting.
Role Requirements
Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience; bachelor’s with 7+ years software development experience; including 2+ years as a solution or technical lead in medium to large organizations.
Hands-on experience using AI coding agents to build or speed software delivery.
Skilled in writing effective prompts, iterating with AI tools, and validating AI outputs for production.
Strong full-stack knowledge: frontend, backend, APIs, data, cloud, and infrastructure.
Experience with modern architectures: web apps, APIs, databases, event-driven systems, queues, automation, microservices.
Experience with Java/J2EE, web tech, web services, and frontend frameworks like Angular or React.
Strong grasp of secure coding, privacy, compliance, reliability, observability, and production readiness in regulated settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Risk and Compliance back-office controls and case management applications.

Software Architect Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a software architect job in Atlanta?
Target Atlanta's fintech corridor along Peachtree Street in Midtown and the enterprise technology firms clustered around Perimeter Center and Buckhead. Companies in payments processing, healthcare IT, and cloud infrastructure hire most actively here. Candidates who demonstrate experience with distributed systems, API design, or cloud-native architecture on production-scale platforms have a clear edge in Atlanta's market.
Which companies hire software architects in Atlanta?
Employers hiring software architects in Atlanta right now include Honeywell, AeroVect, and Speechify, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's hiring base is a mix of large financial technology companies, health systems with in-house engineering teams, and enterprise software firms that have established major offices in the metro.
Are there remote software architect jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though software architect roles lean toward hybrid rather than fully remote given the collaboration and system-ownership responsibilities involved. About 40% of software architect openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the flexibility many Atlanta tech employers now offer. Design and review work tends to travel remotely most easily, while on-call production support often requires proximity.
How can I get a software architect job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Atlanta is moving from a senior software engineer role into an architect title within a mid-size fintech or healthcare IT company, where the gap between hands-on development and architecture is narrowest. Atlanta's startup scene in Midtown and the Georgia Tech incubator network also produce early-career architecture opportunities for engineers who take on system design ownership early. Contributing to internal platform or infrastructure work at your current employer builds the portfolio Atlanta hiring managers look for most.
Which industries hire the most software architects in Atlanta?
Most software architect openings in Atlanta sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Distribution & Wholesale, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's position as a national hub for payments technology and its concentration of major health systems and insurers make those two sectors particularly consistent sources of architecture demand throughout the year.
