Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Corporate Events Manager
Match your degree to the role description
TN approval hinges on a clear connection between your credential and the job. A degree in hospitality management or business administration maps cleanly to Corporate Events Manager; a general arts degree may require a support letter from your employer explaining the link.
Get a support letter that covers logistics
Your employer's TN support letter must name your job title, confirm the professional classification, state your salary, and specify the duration. Officers at the border or consulate deny petitions when any of these four elements is missing or vague.
Target employers with dedicated event departments
Hotels, convention centers, professional associations, and Fortune 500 companies with in-house event teams hire Corporate Events Managers repeatedly. Repeat TN filers already understand the process, which shortens the sponsorship conversation at offer stage.
Clarify the TN classification before accepting an offer
Ask the hiring manager or HR whether they intend to file under management consultant or another USMCA category. Misclassification is a common reason for denial, and correcting it after an offer is accepted delays your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-ready employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify companies actively hiring Corporate Events Managers with TN visa sponsorship. Filtering by sponsorship history saves you from pitching employers who have never navigated the USMCA process.
Prepare for port-of-entry processing as a Canadian
Canadian citizens can request TN status directly at a U.S. land border or preclearance airport without a prior visa appointment. Bring your offer letter, degree transcripts, and resume; CBP officers adjudicate most Corporate Events Manager TN petitions the same day.

Find Corporate Events Manager JobsCorporate Events Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Corporate Events Manager role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, though the classification depends on how the role is defined in your offer letter. Most Corporate Events Manager positions qualify under the management consultant category if the duties involve planning, coordinating, and managing events at a strategic level. Roles that are primarily logistical or administrative without a professional degree requirement may face more scrutiny at adjudication.
How does the TN visa compare to the H-1B for Corporate Events Manager roles?
The TN visa has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and can be processed at a U.S. port of entry in a single day for Canadian citizens. H-1B requires employer registration, a lottery selection, and months of USCIS processing. For Corporate Events Manager roles where the position clearly meets USMCA standards, TN is faster, cheaper, and more predictable than the H-1B route.
What documents does my employer need to sponsor a TN visa for this role?
Your employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead covering your job title, a description of duties, your USMCA professional classification, your salary, and the intended employment period. You'll also need your original degree certificate or transcripts showing a relevant field of study. Neither USCIS nor PERM labor certification is required for TN, which keeps the employer's burden relatively light.
How do I find Corporate Events Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Start with Migrate Mate, which surfaces Corporate Events Manager roles from employers who have actively sponsored TN visas. Many employers are open to TN sponsorship but don't advertise it because the process is unfamiliar to their HR teams. Approaching companies that already understand USMCA requirements cuts down on negotiation time and reduces the risk of an offer falling through at the visa stage.
Can Mexican citizens use the TN visa for Corporate Events Manager roles?
Yes, but the process differs from the Canadian pathway. Mexican citizens must apply at a U.S. consulate in Mexico and obtain a TN visa stamp before traveling, rather than requesting status at a port of entry. Consular wait times vary by location and season, so building extra lead time into your start date negotiation is practical. The professional requirements and documentation are otherwise identical to those for Canadian applicants.
