Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Lean Six Sigma
Align your credentials to Management Consultant
TN visa eligibility for Lean Six Sigma roles hinges on the Management Consultant category. Document how your role involves advising on process efficiency, waste reduction, or operational strategy, not just executing tasks on a production floor.
Translate your Belt certifications for CBP officers
CBP officers aren't familiar with Six Sigma Belt levels. Your offer letter and support documents should explain that a Black Belt or Green Belt credential demonstrates specialized expertise in statistical process control and continuous improvement methodology.
Target industries with active USMCA hiring pipelines
Manufacturing, automotive supply chains, and hospital systems regularly hire Lean Six Sigma professionals and have existing TN filing experience. Prioritize employers who already run cross-border operations with Canadian or Mexican facilities, since their HR teams understand the process.
Confirm your employer letter covers specialty occupation criteria
Your employer's support letter must state that the position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and describe specific consulting or advisory duties. Vague language like 'process improvement support' has led to TN denials at the port of entry.
Search for TN-ready employers using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Lean Six Sigma roles at employers with documented TN visa sponsorship experience. Filtering by sponsorship history cuts the time you spend chasing companies unfamiliar with USMCA filing requirements.
Request a fee arrangement clarification before accepting an offer
Unlike H-1B, employers are not legally prohibited from passing TN filing costs to you. Clarify in writing before signing whether the company covers CBP or consular fees, especially if multiple TN extensions are anticipated over a multi-year engagement.

Find Lean Six Sigma JobsLean Six Sigma TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Lean Six Sigma role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, if the role is structured as a consulting or advisory position requiring a baccalaureate degree. Lean Six Sigma professionals typically qualify under the USMCA's Management Consultant category. The key is demonstrating that the job involves analyzing and recommending improvements to organizational processes, not purely executing repetitive operational tasks.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Lean Six Sigma professionals?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and can be approved at the port of entry for Canadians in a single day. H-1B requires a March registration, a randomized lottery, and months of USCIS adjudication. For Lean Six Sigma roles that fit the Management Consultant category, TN is faster and more predictable than the H-1B route.
Where can I find Lean Six Sigma jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for USMCA professionals and filters roles by TN visa sponsorship history. General job boards don't surface employer TN experience, so you can spend weeks applying to companies that don't understand the filing process. Migrate Mate focuses your search on employers already set up to hire under TN.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a detailed support letter on company letterhead stating your job title, a description of duties that maps to the Management Consultant category, your anticipated start date, and confirmation that a baccalaureate degree or equivalent is required for the position. Canadian citizens present this at the port of entry; Mexican citizens submit it as part of the consular package.
Can a Mexican citizen get TN sponsorship for a Lean Six Sigma role, and is it harder than for Canadians?
Mexican citizens are eligible for TN status under USMCA but must apply through a U.S. consulate in Mexico rather than at a port of entry. Processing timelines depend on consular appointment availability. The substantive eligibility requirements are identical to those for Canadian citizens, so the occupational analysis is the same, only the procedural path differs.
