CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Program Management

- Define clear, high-level objectives for every initiative, identifying the specific tactics (media outreach, events, digital content) required to achieve them.
- Establish measurable targets for every project, such as share of voice, sentiment shifts, or lead generation, ensuring all PR spend is tied to a quantifiable business outcome.
- Own the end-to-end management of PR projects, from initial concept and budgeting to final reporting and retrospective analysis.

- Maintain rigorous AP Style standards and provide expert editing for all corporate communications.
Crisis & Practical Communications
- Act as the primary point of contact for messaging in high-pressure or crisis situations.
- Deliver clear, accurate, and rapid communication to stakeholders while maintaining day-to-day operations.
Performance Measurement
- Define and track KPIs for all PR and marketing initiatives.
- Report data-driven insights to leadership to optimize strategies and support business funding milestones.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Helicopter Pilot
Verify your FAA certificate equivalency early
Canadian Transport Canada and Mexican DGAC commercial pilot certificates must be validated by the FAA before most U.S. operators will extend a TN-sponsored offer. Start the conversion process well before your job search to avoid offer delays.
Target operators experienced with work visa sponsorship
Helicopter operators in oil and gas, utility inspection, and emergency medical services regularly sponsor work visas because they cannot fill seats locally. Filtering by those sectors narrows your search to employers experienced with visa sponsorship who may consider TN status for qualified pilots.
Request a support letter covering all TN requirements
Your employer's support letter must explicitly state the professional nature of the role, your specific duties, and that a commercial pilot certificate is required. Letters missing any of these elements are a common reason CBP officers request clarification at the border.
Search TN-sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate surfaces helicopter pilot roles at employers with documented TN sponsorship activity, so you're not cold-applying to operators who have never navigated the process. Use it to identify which operators in your specialty are actively hiring.
Clarify flight hours acceptance before accepting an offer
Some U.S. operators count only FAA-logged hours toward type-rating minimums, not foreign logbook hours. Confirm in writing during the offer stage how your Canadian or Mexican flight hours will be credited to avoid losing the role after TN approval.
Prepare for CBP scrutiny on dual-intent at the border
TN status prohibits immigrant intent, so if you hold a green card application or an I-140, CBP can deny entry. Canadian pilots crossing at a land port of entry should carry documentation showing nonimmigrant intent alongside the standard TN package.

Find Helicopter Pilot JobsHelicopter Pilot TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Helicopter Pilot role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided the position meets the USMCA professional standard. The employer must demonstrate that the role requires a commercial pilot certificate and involves duties consistent with a professional occupation, not general aviation labor. Operators in sectors like emergency medical services, offshore energy support, and utility patrol regularly qualify their pilot positions for TN sponsorship.
How does the TN visa compare to the H-1B for Helicopter Pilots?
The TN visa has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and can be obtained at a port of entry in a single day. The H-1B requires an employer to enter a lottery, and selection is not guaranteed. For Canadian pilots with a qualifying offer, TN is typically faster and more predictable. Mexican pilots face a limited TN allocation, so processing timelines differ.
Can I use Migrate Mate to find Helicopter Pilot jobs with TN sponsorship?
Yes. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN visa sponsorship in the United States. You can filter for Helicopter Pilot roles at employers that have a documented history of sponsoring TN workers, which removes the guesswork of approaching operators unfamiliar with the process.
What documents do I need to apply for TN status as a Helicopter Pilot?
You need a valid Canadian or Mexican passport, a support letter from the U.S. employer detailing your job duties, proof of professional status such as your Transport Canada or DGAC commercial pilot certificate, and any FAA validation documentation. Canadian citizens present these at a U.S. port of entry or consulate. Mexican citizens must complete consular processing through a U.S. embassy or consulate.
What happens to my TN status if my employer's contract ends?
TN status is employer-specific, so if your position ends your authorization ends with it. You have a short grace period to depart or secure a new TN-sponsored offer. A new employer must initiate a fresh TN petition or border application on your behalf before you begin work. Migrate Mate can help you identify operators actively hiring TN pilots to minimize any gap in status.
