Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Wireless Engineer
Align your degree to the role
CBP officers verify that your engineering degree directly supports the Wireless Engineer title. A degree in electrical, computer, or telecommunications engineering strengthens your case. Degrees in unrelated fields can trigger denial at the port of entry.
Target employers with recent visa filings
Search Migrate Mate for employers with recent visa filings in engineering roles. Consistent visa sponsorship activity signals that a company's HR and legal teams already understand work visa processes and documentation requirements.
Request a detailed offer letter early
Your TN approval depends on the offer letter describing the role as a specialty engineering position. Ask your employer to specify that the role requires application of theoretical and practical engineering principles, not just technical support or operations work.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Filter for Wireless Engineer positions from employers with recent visa filings on Migrate Mate. This cuts the time you'd otherwise spend cold-contacting companies without a track record of visa sponsorship experience.
Prepare for same-day admission as a Canadian
Canadian citizens don't apply at a consulate. You bring your offer letter, degree credentials, and TN support documents to a land port of entry or preclearance location. CBP adjudicates your TN status on the spot, so every document must be present and complete.
Understand the Mexican TN process differs significantly
Mexican nationals must file a TN petition with USCIS before starting work, which adds processing time. Unlike the Canadian port-of-entry process, you'll need your employer to submit Form I-129 and wait for approval before you can begin the role.

Find Wireless Engineer JobsWireless Engineer TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Wireless Engineer role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, Wireless Engineers qualify under the TN Engineer category when the role requires a degree in electrical, computer, or telecommunications engineering and involves applying engineering principles to wireless systems design, RF analysis, or network architecture. Roles framed as general technical support without an engineering degree requirement are less likely to qualify.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Wireless Engineers?
The TN visa has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and can be obtained at the port of entry the same day for Canadian citizens. H-1B requires a lottery entry in March, a wait until October 1 at the earliest, and employer-sponsored USCIS petitions. For Wireless Engineers with Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN is typically faster and more predictable than H-1B.
What documents does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer must provide a detailed offer letter on company letterhead that states your job title, a description of duties that reflects engineering-level work, the professional capacity in which you'll be employed, the anticipated length of stay, and your educational qualifications. The letter is the primary TN support document and must be specific enough for CBP or USCIS to confirm you meet the Engineer category.
Where can I find Wireless Engineer jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search for Wireless Engineer positions specifically filtered by TN visa sponsorship eligibility, so you're not guessing which employers are open to sponsoring. Targeting companies with a history of TN filings in engineering roles avoids the back-and-forth with HR teams that aren't familiar with the process.
Can I switch Wireless Engineer employers while on TN status?
Yes, but your TN status is employer-specific. You can't start working for a new employer under your current approval. Canadian citizens can present a new offer letter and documents at a port of entry to get a new TN for the next employer. Mexican nationals need their new employer to file a fresh I-129 petition with USCIS before work begins.
