INTRODUCTION
The Tool Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the machinery and tools used in packaging processes within our manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring that packaging operations run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and product waste.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
- Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair issues with packaging equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that packaging machines are calibrated correctly to maintain the quality and consistency of packaging materials and products.
- Ensure that all packaging machinery adheres to safety regulations and protocols to protect workers and prevent accidents.
- Quickly identify and address operational issues that may arise during packaging processes to minimize disruptions.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely handle, change, and maintain production tooling.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
