JOB SUMMARY
Works under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Distillation Technician I assists in all operations at KMR but is primarily focused on the processing of material for distillation and maintenance of all KMR facilities. This is a position with primarily physical duties including some specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training. This position is expected to work both alone and, on a team, have excellent communication skills, and be in alignment with dōTERRA’s Guiding Principles.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Processes plant material and maintain distillation equipment, including boilers and stills.
-
Maintain and repair infrastructure and facility systems such as plumbing, electricity, fences, buildings and irrigation.
-
Operation and daily maintenance of heavy equipment, small machinery off-road vehicles.
-
Assists in work performed by sub-contractors, new construction, plant nursery, planting and reforestation.
-
Educates visitors and community members about KMR operations.
-
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-
Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
-
Basic computer skills and capable of using email, text and other common forms of communication.
-
Four-wheel drive vehicle is required for site access.
-
Must be available to work weekends.
-
Preferred experience with heavy and small machinery, off-road vehicles, distillation, facilities maintenance and/or natural resources.
-
First Aid training, advanced computer skills, and knowledge of Hawaiian language and culture are a plus.
