JOB TITLE: Construction Supervisor
LOCATION: Oklahoma (supporting projects across multiple states in the U.S.)
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend work as needed
DURATION: 1 Year Contract
PAY: $35-40/hour
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will serve as the on-site representative, overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising field construction activities and coordinating with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure project plans are executed correctly.
- Managing electrical construction activities, including:
- Cable installation
- Conduit installation
- Cable splicing and testing
- Underground locates
- Foundation work
- Monitoring site safety and ensuring compliance with OSHA, electrical, and construction standards.
- Supporting project execution by maintaining communication with the Construction Manager, Project Manager, and site leadership.
- Ensuring adherence to company construction procedures and best practices throughout all project phases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Act as the on-site field representative, providing daily oversight of contractor and vendor activities.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA safety regulations, electrical codes, and construction standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture, protecting both personnel and equipment on-site.
- Implement and enforce Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures during field operations.
- Create and maintain daily construction logs documenting site progress and activities.
- Take daily progress photographs and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Coordinate installation and testing of electrical systems and related construction components.
- Monitor work schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Travel to project sites across the U.S., with assignments typically lasting 4-6 months.
- Support occasional weekend work based on project demands and contractor schedules.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations and field supervision practices.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, electrical standards, and general construction compliance.
- Familiarity with Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for daily coordination with contractors and project teams.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment.
- Basic computer skills for creating reports, logs, and project documentation.
- Ability to identify issues quickly and escalate appropriately.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in construction supervision, preferably in electrical construction environments.
- Hands-on experience with electrical installations and field coordination required.
- Previous military experience (such as Navy electricians, engineers, or related technical roles) is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments across multiple states.
