Experienced TIG Welder
Pay Range: $25-$35/hour, nationwide travel
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and dismantle mechanical components or machine parts.
- Weld and machine replacement parts.
- Fabricate parts and assemblies.
- Level machines or equipment.
- Bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten components to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Weld, repair, and fabricate equipment or machinery.
- Operate welding equipment; Stick and/or Tig Welder experience required.
- Position equipment using hand tools, power tools, or heavy equipment.
- Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
- Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Drill holes in parts, equipment, or materials.
- Lay out work according to specifications.
- Communicate with coworkers to coordinate installations or repairs.
- Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
- Use blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment, electrical components, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems.
- Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Ensure safety considerations are given top priority while planning and performing duties.
- Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
- Capable of lifting 75lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Required experience:
- TIG Welding: 5 years
- Experience with welding stainless steel is required.
Required license or certification:
- Driver's License
- Background Check and Hair follicle drug testing Pre-Employment
Travel required within the US; all travel expenses paid.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
